They should have called it the MJ.
It's not sure if it is black, white or just spotty.

Perhaps, when the M5 comes out in spring, it will be the ultimate driving machine.

Oh another release cycle joke. Innovative.

No kidding. What is the problem with some people. You'd think by the way they bash and mock TM every chance they get, they've got some kind of personal vendetta against the company.

Don't like the M1? Don't buy it. Nobody cares what you think of it or why you hate it.

I actually own Taylormade clubs.

These things are really ugly and so are new the irons which is really sad given the engineering.
There are lot people that think so.
Really? Paint your car that way with a multi-tone paint job from the seventies and put some large cheap carbon fiber stickers on it.
It will match the clubs.
Should work well in the hood or with the right younger crowd (no one with any money).
First thing I would have removed is the fake carbon fiber stickers on the irons.
The driver head I would keep symmetrically colored which is what the vast majority of humans like.
If I actually had them I would spend the money to have it sprayed.

Performance seems to be consistent with everything else.

Those aren't stickers. That's a real carbon fiber crown.

I was speaking to the irons.
I should have been more clear.

Complex molds of carbon fiber has been around for more than two decades is fairly inexpensive now.

I love the look of the Drivers and Fairway's. Personally they look amazing to me

Why do people slam TM so much? I love they keep coming out with new stuff. If I dont like it, I dont buy it. I didn't like the SLDR, didn't buy it. I like the R15 so I bought it. I don't like the Aeroburner so didn't buy it. If I like this, I will buy it. Love the options!

I would think people that love Titleist and Ping would love life when they release new stuff. At least from reading on here, the people that do can't wait for the new things to come out from Titleist and Cobra and Callaway (which they now do constantly as well, and good for them!!), and Ping and Nike

They all claim to make better then before. 815 to 816 is suppose to be so much better....it might be! And cool to see if it is. XHot to X2Hot to XR to GBB/Alpha's. .. I love trying the new stuff out, if it's good, get it. If not, don't.

And if people get upset that they "just bought the R15 and now M1 comes out...how annoying lol" How is this a surprise? TM has done this for years.

Personally love new releases, keep them coming for all the brands!

I like it. I'm hoping it has that feel and sound of say an FT tour or a razr hawk tour, might have a TM driver in the bag. Very intrigued by the 430cc version and fiddling to get that perfect mid launch/mid spin out of a driver (for me).

I think players with a consistent swing who know what ball flight they want will love this driver.

I agree with you...TM has gone a bit overboard with adjustable mechanisms and very "visible" technology. I think I actually prefer non-adjustable more classic-looking clubs since I have rarely found the need to deviate from "standard" settings anyhow. Those mechanisms sometimes place weight in undesirable places which can sometimes have a negative impact on performance and forgiveness.
The sliding weights are there for 2 reasons: They sell clubs in the store, and it gets a single head to fit more people resulting in lower manufacturing costs.

I generally agree about not needing to deviate from standard settings where draw/fade bias is concerned, but COG is a whole different animal in my opinion. Being able to jam the COG as far back/low as possible for forgiving-ness on days where your swing isn't 100% on should be pretty valuable. Days when your swinging well, move it up to try to maximize your best shots. Movable COG seems way more valuable to me than fade/draw bias.
But they are selling 3 different lofts? So no "single" head

The crown IS carbon fiber. No sticker hence no "wannabe" factor at all

I really like the Driver. My only concern is the price. Being in the UK makes things even worse. A rrp of £429 ($650) is just far too much. Especially as we only get a 1 price point option now. I understand we now get 25 shaft options for no upcharge, but if the rrp has been already adjusted upwards to take account of the shafts, then I'm not sure if it's such a good deal, and a Driver @ £400 over here in the UK is just going to sit on racks for months. It's the retailers I feel sorry for, as I can always turn around and simply say 'too much for me, sorry' and walk away, but I'm afraid the retailers are going to struggle again with this product at that price point over here.

I am not usually a TM fan (apart from the ghost putters) but i like these and will consider the 3 wood as well as the driver.

All down to opinion as with every new club that comes out no matter who the manufacturer is.

Glad I am in the states for the release though. Save me a bit of cash buying there rather than in the UK

Hey, if you're happy to spend £600 on a Driver and Fairway, then who the hell am I to argue, it's your hard earned dosh. You do as you wish with it. Just irks me somewhat that a Driver has now broken the £400 mark. It goes over a line for me personally, especially if you knew how much it cost any OEM to make these things. But if you're happy then fair play to you. :derisive:

No argument here, respect everyone's opinion. Couldn't agree more on how the pricing has went but seems to be the market now. I definitely wouldn't be renewing clubs every year id be bankrupt before i knew it.

I have had my old trusty Nike Machspeed Driver for around 4 years now so figured I could treat myself

Where did you see the price? That's ridiculous.
The price for the UK you mean? It's on a few sites on the internet. Golfalot is one, but they all say an rrp of £429. So I suppose I would guess a retail initially of £399. Same price as the R15TP over here.

So with the consideration of the adjustability in this club, is the sole difference between the 430 and 460 heads size?

And if you can get the Driver for around $400, that's what? £260? Almost a bargain in comparison to the prices in the UK. And if you can slip it into your luggage as something not attracting any questions from Customs when you come back, it has to be worthwhile. Any space for 2 Drivers??? Lol :derisive:

people at taylormade, if you are reading by chance, please include few different sets of weight in the kit.

having 2 weights in the heel to toe track ala R15 was a definite improvement over single weight SLDR style IMO,
and i would very much prefer to split the 15g weight into two pieces and increase the MOI, and others who prefer to keep it SLDR style should have the choice to do so.

make it happen and i will buy this driver in a heartbeat!
im stoked to try this driver out for sure.
