She needs to start her own site and offer video lessons. She'd make more money doing that that doing the GC thing. She's built up a solid following on her own and needs to capitalize on that.

But in all seriousness, who cares if she is on the cover. They have a business to run selling magazines. They know their demographic and play to it. Everyone treats golf like its some sacred religion. It's a sport. Sports are part of the entertainment business.

When I think of the future of golf, the first person that came to mind was Paige. Wait, no.

My 50 billion free copies of Golf Digest finally ran out a few months ago. I laugh every time I go to their webpage and see another swing tips video with Paige. This doesn't surprise me one bit. She's an attractive woman that will sell a few more copies in the airport. She's parlayed an Instagram account 'based' on golf into a viable revenue stream. Good for her. I didn't like it when she took a tournament exemption from a possibly more deserving golfer, but this is pretty harmless.

 

Is this the 'fitness' issue? We went from Paulina to Lexi to Paige? I'd be much more interested in what Rory or some of the other athletically built players are doing, than what Paige is doing.

Every year when GD has their skin issue you get the same response from LPGA members and former members. Nuthins gunna change.

Love how Paige tells Lydia, "Girl the GD cover is not all it's cracked up to be. Getting in and out of their shoot clothing is a dog." Whatever Paige, encased sausage is less tight than what you wear on a daily basis and it never bothered you before.

This is kind of what I am saying though. Does she? In the words of the immortal Nigel Tufnel there's a thin line between clever and stupid. I was under the impression GD's numbers were hurting. This one feels like desperation.

to be fair, its not her fault the world likes stuff like that or that some athletes simply are boring to watch.

It should be about their performance but as we know a sponsor rather hire a cool name or face than no one really cares about.
