I am pretty sure Rose used a white version of this a few years back. I believe Day also used a white version too back when they were doing the itsy bitsy putters first. I think both were using one without a sight line on it with the same neck.

Day is the one who putted with a white IB with no sight line. It's the putter he used at the 2013 Masters and most of that season. He eventually put it back in his bag late last season after experimenting with a couple of different MC72 heads.

My memory is a bit hazy on Rose, but I seem to recall seeing something about him using a silver finish Spider or IB sometime around 09. He was using the Corza Ghost by 2010.

I was lucky enough to meet JR through this site several years back. Great guy and been pulling for him ever since. Got to play the course he grew up on and honestly think he switches putters too much. He misses shorties and makes bombs, and it seems like every other tourney he is tinkering with something new. I have seen him putt more consistently with blade style putters...just sayin'....Akron was awful...and I have played there....I would know...just sayin'...LOL

I agree totally. I pull for him as well. Met him at the PGA last year. Tell my buddies all the time that he is a putter ho. If he ever finds a stick he likes, watch out! Multiple majors will be coming his way.

In Continental Golf this morning they were saying they are having a rash of old Itsy Bitsy's being sent in for the all black refinishing treatment.

That's what this one looks like to me. Even the insert appears to be the old AGSI insert, just in black instead of red.

Is it just me or does this guy change putters every tournament? It's the same thing with Mahan. Seems like when their putting goes to pot, they decide to break up with it. What ever happened to having "old faithful" in the bag?

That's perfect! Exactly how I would get one built.
I will pay the $299 price tag on this one no problem if I could order it at 34", 70 degree lie angle, 2.5 loft and the same black shaft as this one. Actually I think the Lamkin grip JR has on his will go perfect on mine just the same.

They make all these really good looking prototypes for the tour that actually look to be very nice quality wise but yet they offer these cheap looking plastic jobs for the everyday working stiff. Oh yea-- they get that working stiff for $249 too.

Seriously how much more could it cost to produce this putter compared to the stock ones? I would bet just about ANYTHING that this exact putter would outsell the retail Spider.

isn't this just like JDay's?
He finally caved after seeing Day drop EVERYTHING...don't blame him though. If Day keeps it up, you're going to see even more guys trying this setup out.

With JDay doing so well hopefully TM will release something like this that doesn't have billion sight lines all over it. Come on TM!

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Looks like he already switched on the last day...yesterday. Anyone see what he was using...didn't look TM to me.
He switched back to one of his TM milled protos. This is what he's been using for the better part of the last two seasons.

    • Sony Open Pics from January 11, 2022 Part 1
      I was able to get out to the Sony Open today to take a few pics.  I guess due to Covid precautions they kept the spectators pretty far from the players.  Also due to camera restrictions they've put in place, I wasn't able to bring the big lens like I normally do. Hopefully they'll ease up on the ropes and I'll be able to get more pics tomorrow!
