TaylorMade M1 T3 14* fairway wood

Recommended Posts

the M2 goes so freaking long I don't know how I could justify hitting this. Seriously. This is not a back door brag at all but I am still in amazement at this next part. BlueJack National #11 is 600 yards long from the Tiger Tees ( or close to it. can't think of the exact number). I had 315 yards to the center and no trouble in front. I knew the club was hot anyway and so I take a nice cut at it and I hit a laser 5 yard draw max..we drive up and I don't see my ball ANYWHERE. I was shocked as to how I lost a ball in the middle of the fairway or on the green. My Dad says, check the hole as he laughs. Nothing. I decide on a whim to look over the green and low and behold it's 30 yards over the green. WTF?!? are you kidding me? 350 yard three wood and mine is the 15deg!

Thinking maybe I'll get an rbz s2 TS , I've not see the unicorn m1 TS , possibly an aero TS but would like to have some adjustable features

I have this shaftted up very nice off the deck performance ; what does splitting the weights do vs having them together? I toyed with it at the range and could tell much difference in ball flight, does it affect the spin much, IMOP weights together feel a little better on impact. Thought maybe someone tested the weight configuration on track man

So min is 14* loft, other than lower loft what's the structal difference if any from Retail heads?

For me, the weights apart produced a more forgiving club. All my other numbers were very similar. I like the way the clubs feels a lot more with the weights together. I now have a lower lofted m2 3 wood and I don't see this thing getting beat out anytime soon!

M1 T3 w/ ad di 9x tipped 2" + 6g Hotmelt - pretty impressive club, only on course use right now no trackman numbers. Impressed on the launch characteristics of the club head and shaft combo. Weights together very solid, but for some reason with them apart I get better performance so just ran with it

Turf interaction is good along with solid performance off the box. Touch further than my r15 but then again the OTR r15 loft could have been 16* or 14??? vs the 14.2 measured m1 TS , though I hit it into a substantial head wind and was surprised how the ball cut through it

M1 t3 , same CC as retail m1 3 from what I can tell, would have liked to see something in the 125-135 CC range

I tested my 15* against the deep face M2. J Day M2 is about the same launch, lower spin, higher ball speed, better look and sound/feel. I also compared the J Day to the 917 F3 and is probably a closer comparison. But again I think the M2 is superior in almost every category, I have not hit the 917 on the course but I went back and forth between the two for a while on the range and I was more than satisfied with the Deep face M2.

I have a deep faced M2 coming tomorrow. I'm quite excited to hit it. I've been playing the Tour issued M2 all year and if it's better than that, I'll be in 3 wood Heaven.
