I agree I wonder if they will honor the price on it or cancel the order

I put an order through for a dozen and had a one time free ship code to use.

Will post whether the order is honored or cancelled. Worth a shot.

I see they changed the price on global golf. Did they honor or cancel?

As of now the order is still showing as processing.

Early yesterday morning they had the DUO Urethane listed for 19.99/dozen. Then around an hour later it was back to 24.99 - I see know they have it at 42.99

Haha they didn't know what they wanted to do with the price of that ball haha.

global golf lists them for 24.99 if personalized

http://www.globalgol...olf-ball/?uom=2

I feel like that's a mistake because the surlyn duos are 24.99

I just checked thew link proved and they are $42.99/dozen. That's wayyy to high for this ball. If that is the regular price I won't be playing it. Personalized or not

No yellow on the Duo U or Project (a) is almost a deal breaker. Too bad as I'm a fan of both company's offerings. Hope the 2016 CS comes in yellow.

PGA SS listed them at 37.99 when I went in last week. I didn't get out and play but chipped and putt around my place and they feel good.

Today Global Golf shipped out the order for the DUO Urethane that I placed this past Saturday AM when they were listed at 19.99 - when they had them listed at 19.99 you could get them with or without the personalization. By the time I went to post the 19.99 dozen deal here they had already bumped them back to 24.99

The dozen I ordered at 24.99 is still showing as processing as this will likely be dropped shipped from Wilson. Took advantage of their reward program to get free shipping on both dozens.

OK played 18 holes today. Temperature was about 47°. Final thoughts on duo urethane versus project a versus chrome soft. They are all about the same as far as distance, spin and cover durability goes. Duo U feels the softest. I would say that project a wins due to price per dozen. But chrome soft is the only one that is available in yellow.

Cannot go wrong with any of these 3 balls if that is what you are looking for in your game.

Driver: TM M1
3 Wood: TM M1
Irons: Cobra King 3-PW, Tour Trusty GW, PM Grind LW (Also have a set of Srixon 545's 3-PW)
Ball: Srixon Z star, CS, Q Star, Project A
Putter: Metal X #7
Bag: Sun Mountain C130 Stand

I got out and played a nearby executive 18 hole course yesterday with the ball and I have to agree with the thoughts above. Plays very similar to the CS. I played the same ball for all 18 holes even though I hit a tree on my tee shot on the first hole :swoon: . Feels very soft and good off of the putter if yo udont like a loud click. Still think the best feeling ball is the Snell MTB and if I were to order a large quantity I would go with those over these. For a lower compression urethane though this is a solid choice.

To update this thread... Took delivery of the personalized version of the DUO Urethane on Friday 1/22. While the Global Golf

prices were likely a mistake (they had to be) I got one dozen for 24.99 (personalized) and one for 19.99 - Both including free shipping

due to free shipping codes from GG rewards program. Hope I like them LOL...

Play on 1/23/2016. Vancouver BC. Bought Duo&Duo U after reading that low compression is better and longer for cold weather. Course condition was WET and about 48F, green is covered with dew. I played 4 balls (for 5 holes) since I am the only golf sandwiched between 4somes. Pro V1, TaylorMade TP, Duo, Duo U.

Duo feels the softest and in fact too soft for me. Distance is not good. Nailing twice but carried only 230 max. On green side, it's not good at all. Chip and putt just not respond good enough. Just not for me or I am so used to my reg ball.

Duo U. Feels comfortable. Distance is moderate carry about 230ish. On green side, it is good and in fact check up better than Pro V1 which caught me off guard and left short. Putting also feel really good and roll very well. Probably will continue trying and finish off the dozen.

Pro V1 and TM TP are my usual balls and they easily out drive the DUO/DUO U by 20 yards, carrying 250ish. I also score better with the Pro V1 and TM than the DUOs. 5 holes +1 for The usual balls and 4 over for the Duo, left it short and 2 putts 4 holes. Duo U also short on approach but chip and putt better with +2.

However, both DUOs hit all 5 fairways even on off center shot that I thought I had a snap hook but end up only a very slight hook and stay in the fairway. It does go straighter but distance just not there.

Hope my review and comparison is helpful. My first review :-)

Yeah, but did the shipment come with the 2 ball sleeve that is included when you order the Duo Urethane on other sites at full price :-)) I'd say that since GG made a mistake with the price, maybe they can make up some lost revenue with the 2 ball sleeves !!!!!

I played 9 holes with this ball when my rep gave me a couple 2-ball sleeves and I found that it was explosive off the club face. A lot of the time I would pick my club based on the yardage and i would end up over shooting it by a half a club or more. I think it is a great feeling ball and definitely one that people should try if they are looking for a little bit more distance off their tee shots resulting in shorter approach shots. When it came to spin, I didn't notice much of a difference between it and the FG Tour, if anything the DUO U might have spun a hair more.

Great ball for the slower swings speed people. Great for kids, woman, seniors and wonderful for cold weather. Have not tested driver distance, snow need to melt.

It's ok for high SS as well, I swing 118, didn't experience any distance loss, actually went further with shorter irons

Thanks, good to know. How is a ball like the duo or duo spin on drives? SS is around 98, they seem to mush and lose distance for me.

The regular DUO is consistently longer for me than just about any other ball I play. I feel like it stays on line very well, too, while I have experienced the opposite with the DUO spin... The spin is an ok ball but it didn't do anything better than the DUO. It may just be, well, spinning too much. LOL I am playing tomorrow and I will be putting the DUO U in play. I may be getting too excited over a golf ball, honestly.

Played the DUO U today.... I have found a new ball. Felt great off every club and was spinning back superbly off the wedges and holding greens with the mid irons. I will say, I drove one through a fairway that I don't normally drive through on a really well struck shot. I can see there is somewhat of a distance increase for me with the driver and fw wood. I am most impressed with its spin around the green... awesome ball for me.

My driver SS is in the 105 area but not much more. Isn't the DUO U supposed to replace the FG Tour? I don't know other numbers at the moment since I have been bouncing around between a lot of drivers this year but I am hoping to put a 910 D3 in play soon to drop some spin even though the DUO U flew really straight for me today and responded really well when I tried to shape it. I would like to hear how the higher swing speed guys like it so let us know!

The will still be making the FG Tour. The DUO U is in place to fill the gap between the DUO Spin and the FG Tour.

i played one of these balls this weekend for 9 holes and i was impressed. i felt like it was longer than the prov1 and it felt good around the green. i did have a high flop shop that i felt shouldve stopped but it rolled out a little. maybe it was an anomaly. if these were around the 25-30 price point i wouldnt hesitate to play this ball.

I went to edwin watts last week to stock up on the 2015 model chrome soft. Can't believe Callaway changed it. Anyway, while I was there an employee suggested the wilson duo urethane. Honestly it feels and performs just like the old chrome soft. I definitely recommend giving it a try. It feels like a balata ball!

Great ball, it's only trumped for my by the AD333 Tour as winter ammo.
