Nike VR_S Str8-fit with an Accra MT60.... I shake my head and can't believe it's stayed in the bag and beat out every other combo I've tinkered with. I'll often walk up to the tee box with my JuJu head cover still on, take it off really fast and take a few quick swings, tee off and put the head cover back on.

I've gone back to a 907 D2 (not the spaceship) that I love. Have owned several 2010 -2014 models of other clubs, but I've gone back to this one. In fact, I was hitting a 983K prior to switching full time to the 907.

907D2 got rubbish reviews almost everywhere. Many say it was Titleist's worst driver ever in modern (905R onwards) times. But i really loved mine too to be honest !

When i did eventually change- i went to a 909D2, and after not much tee-time - i did like it more. BUT........i had no issues at all with the 907 and could easily bag one today :-)

Play well !!

That's my current driver, too, with a Diamana Blueboard. I bought it virtually new at Play It Again sports for $29 with headcover.

Glued, looks great, sounds good, fine on distance - the rest is on me.

I freaking love this thread. It makes hoing manageable. I don't feel guilty at all rotating 50 dollar drivers through the house.

this is true, I feel like I've come full circle. I blew a bunch of cash on the latest and greatest and decided to recoup it all back as best I could. My whole bag is fairly old now and I'm happy with the choices I've made. I've turned to looking for sub $100 drivers, $200 or below iron sets, etc.

Got tired of SLDR Tuning and threw my 905R back in the bag out of spite. Had a great few rounds off the tee, and now I feel like I don't need the SLDR anymore. Feels almost like dumping the young girlfriend because you're tired of playing games, and calling up the veteran MILF to active duty status.

I have a couple of Cleveland Classic 290's and an Anser, which are currently on a bit of a rotation in the bag,but sometimes I bring out the Cleveland Launcher 400,which now has a Kusala Blue shaft in it,and it holds it's own pretty well.Love the head on the 400 and the sound.

Whatever works.

None of these clubs seem ancient to me.

I sometimes still play with my set of 1980's Vance Powerbar laminate woods just for a bit of nostalgic fun - now that's old! Flight is a low draw with these compared to a high fade with my Ping G20 (does that also count as old ???).

End result is not that different, only about 10 yards between them for average fairway conditions ... but interestingly while the Ping is longer off the tee, the old bat is longer from the fairway as it launches just as easily as it does from the tee while the Ping basically needs to be hit with a big slice. Hmm, curious.

That Nike VR Tour of yours is one of the best drivers ever made imo. I still own mine, though it doesn't see much action. I've had some of my best drives with that club

It's not "old" but I'm gaming a Yonex Ezone 380. I've thought a lot on this and I do better with smaller heads because when I mishit it, it's also crooked. So I want less ballspeed on those as well as less spin. The ball dies and stays in play a lot more often, or doesn't make it to the rough.

I tried out a 983e and it's the same distance as any modern club. Really you just find something you like, more than keeping up with what's new. My opinion anyway.

I never understood the bad reviews. I hit my 907 D2 within 2 yards of a G30, a 915, a TEE 8 Beta, and a Bio Cell. I did hit a RAZR Fit Extreme for a short time, but I couldn't keep it on a fairway to save my life. I also played a 910 for a few months and hated it. Same with the 913.

Maybe all the hate for the 907 line came from the D1.

Still gaming the original Adam's Redline with a NV. Circa 2001.

I got the Adams GT 363. I like it, gonna drop a fubuki shaft in it this spring.

Don't think I've ever tried that one. But I don't believe it's 460cc's is it?

No it is not I don't think, can't find any info on it. Debute 2002 I'm thinking it's a 400cc. But the Dark Cobalt Blue head Is what sold me. I got mine in excellent condition.

The original X speed is still a hot driver, never should have traded mine in. If anyone is feeling nostalgic and want to see it in action with a prototype VS check this link out. Geoff Ogilvy, PLWTP

DW, I brought out the SS427/Pype70 that I bought from you last year when I went to the dome today. I usually tear down head shaft combos that I buy but not this one. It's still together and still a great combo.
