8LKRUJ8T5PD6.jpgGot the Rogue Sub Zero V Tour. Things a rocket. Definitely in the bag for a trail period. The shape is amazing. It's 460 but looks alot smaller which I love.

Unfortunately the USA bag is in hibernation until Spring.

Also messing with 4 iron and then 6-P instead of 5-P. The lower flight of the 4i is great for the wind over here and if I need to manufacture a shot for that exact 5i distance I can do it with either the 4i or the hybrid depending on shot needed

Been a while since I've updated this. Got a new driver and a new putter for the Scotland bag. Also updated my WITBs below.     Pretty excited about the driver so far.  Could end up changing

It rolls the ball even better than it looks!  The patina is coming along very nicely too........

Changed the shaft in my driver to an Aerotech Ti Fiber 60 and Im pretty settled.  Love this driver. Looks and feel are top notch and I'm hitting it longer and straighter than my SIM.  I like the deepe

The Tour V is firmly in the bag. I'm driving the ball so well right now with it. 5 rounds and I can only think of one bad drive I've hit with it and it was into a 30+ mph wind and pouring rain. Hitting most of my fairways and misses are just off at worst. Also finished top 5 in my first tournament in Scotland, very happy with that result.

I was close to buying one of those V Sub Zeros on a few occasions. Glad to see you enyoing it.

I've got a question regarding the shaft in your callaway short wood. I assume it is the 950FW shaft? How do you like it? I bought one of those on a whim today and was looking for some feedback. I'll most likely put it in my F6 Baffler to replace my 2 iron. THinking about setting it to 19° and 40.5" shaft length. Could be a nasty little club for really long par 3s or second shots into par 5s.

Need details on this mythical club I've heard whispers of... something about a persimmon head with a Aerotech shaft....

Please share and WANT!

Hey KC13,

Not sure which mythical club you're talking about, but here are 4 that might fill the bill - Joe Powell custom made 1,2,3 & 4 woods, all with Aerotech SS65 shafts.

I got the driver thru Fairway Fred about 5 or 6 years ago via a Golfwrx forum & liked it so much I contacted Joe Powell Golf & had the others made.

Thanks and a big shout out to Fairway Fred - still using your driver & love it dearly!

I've only been able to hit it indoors so far, but based on the numbers it seems to do exactly what I was hoping for. Feels easier to hit 3/4 shots that do not get too 'jumpy". Should be a nice gap to the Yonex CB-301 irons I just bought (4 iron at 23*).

Drool! Yes, please post more! You make the head or custom build through someone else?

Currently gaming the Ti-fiber tour 70 in my M5 and must say, one of the best shafts dispersion wise I have ever hit. (Have another Ti-fiber sitting in the golf room for future endeavors...)

Its a prototype that was made for me by Jeremy at Louisville Golf. It's an awesome stick. Larger than normal persimmon w a lower COG. Great original design.

Spent a bunch of time on Trackman with all the new stuff. SIM is the winner for me. I hit the SIM, SIM Max Mavrik, Mavrik SZ and new Cobra. All are very good especially in the sound and feel dept. Nice solid thwack sound and feel all around. Well done by all 3.

For me I got the best performance from the standard SIM w the sliding weight put half way between the toe and center. I found it to he very consistent from a ball speed, spin and ball flight standpoint. My current gamer Rogue SZ Tour V was pretty similar when hit well but not quite as consistent on mishits especially low on the face. I also really like the look of the SIM. Very nice, pear shape and sets up perfectly.

SIM Max looks even a little better than the standard SIM due to the slightly deeper face but it spun too much for me.

Mavrik is very good I prefer the shape of this one to the SZ though I don't like how straight the face is. They seemed to have carried that over from the Epic Flash Triple Diamond to both the Mavrik and the Mavrik SZ. I prefer the bulge and roll and look at address of the SIM over both Mavriks. I got a hair too much spin from the Mavrik but ball speed etc were all good.

Mavrik SZ I don't like the extreme taper of the top of this driver like most of the previous SZ drivers. I like the flatter/higher top of the SIM or even the normal Mavrik. Numbers were slightly better than the normal Mavrik but not any better than my Rogue SZ V and I prefer the shape of the V.

Cobra SZ nice driver hair too much spin didn't love the kinda blocky shape. Could play but prefer SIM.

Cobra SZ Max similar to above but little more spin.

Tried a bunch of shafts but I'm most consistent with my previous gamer which is an Aerotech Ti Fiber 60. I was able to try all the above w that shaft.

Also the SIM Ti fwy wood is a CANNON.

Mavrik SZ fwy woods r also very good.

I walked away with a SIM which will be my first TM driver since the first 2016 M2 which was not in my bag for long. I have almost exclusively gamed Callaway drivers since the first Epic and even back to the 815 DD. So this is a bit of a departure for me but SIM will get its shot at the gamer spot in Scotland. Need to see it on the course v the V which has treated me VERY well since I got it.

Got a SIM Ti 3w to try also but that will have a tough time making the bag.

Both will be tested in Dallas Tuesday /Wednesday at Trinity Forest.

On course report coming after.

Reshafted the PXG 3 wood with a Aerotech Ti Fiber 70. Gets me a little more trajectory than the Fuji which is good.

SIM is in the bag still for the driver spot. It's definitely longer than the Rogue V I had but not quite as straight.

Looking for a new hybrid or high lofted fwy wood to fill the spot between the 5 deep and the 5 iron.

Changed the shaft in my driver to an Aerotech Ti Fiber 60 and Im pretty settled.  Love this driver. Looks and feel are top notch and I'm hitting it longer and straighter than my SIM.  I like the deeper face I can vary the trajectory more based on wind conditions. I can even hit it off the deck which is key in Scotland.  Overall very happy.  I haven't liked a driver this much in a while.  I should probably try the SIM2 also but I'd be shocked if I don't bag this driver all of 2021.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
