Colorado WRX 2016

Played 3 rounds in Vegas last week so got my fix for at least a week or so. We need rain instead of snow to green everything up around here.

Which courses did you play? I played Bali Hai on Friday of last week but didn't have time to get another round in. I was impressed with the course and it was in good shape. A big plus was there were a lot of hot ladies on the course as caddies for all the dudes that were in town for March Madness lol. I didn't even know that was an option but I guess it's Vegas. Really, really wanted to play Shadow Creek but they were booked on Thursday and only comped rounds are allowed out on the weekends.

Las Vegas National, Desert Pines, and Las Vegas Golf Club.

Yea... those ladies are "par mates" (or birdie mates depending on venue). I was behind a group that had 4 of them at Royal Links in the Fall. I enjoyed the free views. Spendy though... I think around $350 each before tip. But for 5 hours of them riding around the course on your lap why not?

Debating between South Suburban, Lone Tree, or Saddle Rock for Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Lone Tree is insanely overpriced; still going to be $45/person when using BOGO coupon.

I would be down for something more toward the south end once in a while. Still making the trek back to Wyoming on Friday's so a Tues, Wed or Thur would work.

I might be in for Saddle Rock and if it's an afternoon round.

Sorry. I'm unemployed for the next week. I'm playing golf in the morning. Home in time to pick up the kids from school in the afternoon. :)

Not sure if this is the right crowd but... I'll be making at least one trip out to CO this summer as my wife works out there for a couple months in Parker. Any recommendations for courses around there? Gotta see what this mile high distance is all about!

Welcome! Unfortunately, there aren't too many public options in Parker. I would probably recommend The Ridge at Castle Pines North about 10 minutes southwest of Parker. If your wife knows someone with a Club Corp membership, then Black Bear would also be a nice option.

Funny how you timed that for Masters week. :)

I would have joined you for some morning golf, but will be in Florida until Sunday. Although right now my game is not something anyone should have to watch. My index is rising faster than the tide at high moon.

Hope spring is treating everyone well!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a putter fitting in the Denver area? I'm close to CommonGround if that helps.

Thanks!

Check out Brian Gott. I know he was at GVR but last I heard had moved to CommonGround so ask around there. Good guy and does a total custom putter fit. Don't have more contact info though.

Oops. Booked a 2pm tee time for Lone Tree tomorrow. To be fair, this is probably the only time I'll be able to golf this week. :(

Anyone interested in playing every Thursday afternoon in the broomfield, westminster area. Thinking legacy, westmoor, broadmoor (or is it broadlands, etc) can also do Sunday afternoon if thurs is no good

When I'm in town, absolutely. Probably not this week, and the next couple are out since I'll be in Germany...but I'm usually good to play during the week!

Anyone here played Todd Creek? I booked a midday round Tuesday on a good deal. The course looks nice enough...just hoping it's in good shape.

Play it a few times each year. They take care of it well. I think you'll like it.

Great to hear. Had some success during my round last week. Looking forward to carrying that over to a new course!

For anyone who hasn't played it, Todd Creek is great. DO NOT miss the fairway though, or else you'll find yourself in a lot of trouble. I couldn't get the driver going today and found myself scrambling all afternoon. For the times I did put the tee shot in play, the course was more manageable...but that wasn't very often. It also helps to be long there.

I'll definitely be playing TC again soon. Fun track, and it was in great shape to boot. Greens were consistent and quick.

Weather forecast for this weekend looks downright nasty. I was hoping to hit the range on Sunday, not shoveling four feet of snow.

I just started my new job on Monday. I'm not sure taking a day off to play golf four days into the job would win me any brownie points. :(
