so much for getting rain this weekend, knew that was wishful thinking.

 

i'm just hoping to snow is melted by late next week.

 

I thought I was going to Germany Tuesday, which would have helped pass the time waiting for snow to melt faster...but I'm not any longer. Now I'm stuck getting tortured waiting to play again.

I drowned my sorrows in a nice merlot and 20oz bone-in ribeye at Fleming's last night. I also got a 3W delivered the other day (XR16 Pro w/ Project X 6.5). Can't wait to take it to the range next weekend.

About to put in an order for some used balls so I stop paying for a bucket when I just want to use the practice areas at some courses. Maybe that'll hold me over until the snow melts. On the plus side, this snow isn't really stacking up like they kept saying it would. Fingers crossed for less than predicted accumulations.

no plans yet. I wanted to play the CGA Senior 4ball the beginning of May but I'll still in the Phoenix.

In other news, I'm suddenly being thrust upon a project in San Diego for at least the next few weeks. The good news, I'll be less than 4 miles away from Torrey Pines. The bad news, I doubt I'll see the course in daylight. :(

I was actually able to play Friday Saturday and Sunday....now it's looking like it might be another week before we get some decent golf weather again. Have a feeling our 3rd league event (out of 4) is about to get cancelled on Saturday. This just is not right.

BH, I saw your thread for a regular game and I'm into one also. I've been itching to get a regular skins game or something together. Even if we don't do skins, it would be nice to get a regular game. I live downtown but I'm a member at CO national and play up north most of the time as that's where I work.

Believe me I've thought of every way to plan my way into still playing in the Four Ball but it's just not going to happen.

 

I'm playing tomorrow with a newcomer to your golf league this year. Maybe I'll join one of these years since the tourny formats at the Saddle Rock / Murphy Creek club keep getting worse and worse.

Played this AM at my usual, Murphy Creek. Figured I'd get a round in there before Hawaii and they punch greens Monday/Tuesday next week. Pictures going up in my WITB in a few.

 

Putter pulled a Jekyll and Hyde on me, but man, my wedges were the best they've been probably ever. Stiffed a couple within a few feet, chipped in on #17 from 50ish feet, and bunker play wasn't bad. Really happy, just bummed my putter let me down. I think I three putted more times today than I have in my last six or seven rounds combined. Greens were very quick, but I just couldn't see anything fall today. Soured me on an otherwise very good day for ball striking.

 

If anyone has figured out how to put together a complete round, I need your secrets!

Dude, let's get it going! Sorry I just saw this. If I'm not traveling, there's actually a guy here on WRX coming in from out of town and we're probably going to get a round in at Fossil Trace. If anyone's interested, I could see if he's down for more folks to meet up. Should be fun.

That's probably the best way to make 2 on that hole.

 

I'm not bragging when I say this...but I've more often than not put my tee shot within 7 feet. Like, 7 out of 10 times, I'll walk away from 17 with a birdie. It makes NO SENSE. I can't do better than a double on #2 but can birdie a 225 yard par 3? I just throw my head back and laugh.

I'm in for Saturday or Sunday AM. I already have a full time at Westmoor Saturday PM for a practice round (US Open local Monday). Also, that means I will have time after the local qual to play monday afternoon. Let me know if anything works.
