The copper Epons are wildly soft on their own, but combining them with modus 120 takes it to another level. Some people really might thinks its too soft of a feel, but I love it. That's the paramount of smooth and soft for me. I hit them alongside my CB-57s all the time, and its a completely different feel. They are both shafted with modus 120, but the Miura is a much more solid feel at impact. That's what has me keeping them. They feel just as good to me, but in a different way. Hard to say they're similar, just both incredible forgings.

Thanks for that. I also play the cb-57's with nippon 130's and love the club. That said, I'm in the market for another jdm set with a similar profile to the cb-57's, but even softer. The Epons look really good, but seems like they have a lot of offset?

Offset is there, but nothing too crazy. Its still a player's iron. The CB-57 has hardly any, which I prefer, but the Epon 302 offset really doesn't bother me at all. Shouldn't be a deal breaker for you. The newer AF Tour has less offset, I believe.

I have 3 sets..... They are a perfect combination of Players Cavity , Forgiveness and feel better than anything I've played. Endo forged that

surpasses Srixon , Mizuno and Miura in my opinion of course.

I have two sets of 302’s and a set of baby blades, they aren’t even in the same zip code as far as softness goes. Middling the 302 feels like you hit a marshmellow. You need to give them a try sometime, I’ve had mine for ~5 years and don’t even look at other irons.

Miura Irons aren't in the top 3 in Japanese forged irons as it relates to softness.... It's an acquired feel but soft isn't an adjective I would use for Miura.

Yeah. Gen 1 Ts.

I think I lucked out. I shafted them with roddio i9s and they seem to work for me.. most of the time :-). They are not the softest, a bit clicky if you dont sweet spot them but when you do, they are maybe half club longer then my other JDM sets and they feel beautiful when you do. Loft are the same as well.

Performance wise, probably my best set... always subject to operator variation of course.

Also, that some really have a beef with pxg adds to their appeal for me..?

I agree.... It may have something to do with their Patented Spin Milled Hosel design.

hmmm miura.... I don't think they are " soft" I think they are dense soft.

soft are onoff, epon, mizuno, prgr nabla, fujimoto air, titlest mb ,prgr tr500,, kyoei raw . TMtp009. srixon 945 mb these guys are soft, proper soft.

then theres the next feel, dense/soft , miura,Yamaha tour 08 to 11 , prgr idbl,buchi,honma mb,callaway TA 09.masda

then theres the firmer brigade dense/ firm : kyoei chrome/satin mb, honma tour world, tourstage, old Yamaha pre 08,.

that is with NS shafts .

anyway thats what Ive found.

ive played all of these above.

I tend to favour the desne soft feel more these days, I get lost with the UBER soft feel and the firm /dense I really enjoy in hot moist summer time, saying that the enxt set of bats ill prob get are the MIZUNO mp05s, they look like marshamallos, prob need to shaft them with NS sp blue or monaccos to firm them up just a smidge.

owari !
