Restoration COMPLETE on my Mil-Spec!!

I did end up getting a piece of ghost tape for the sole. i didn't get a picture of it but it came with 2 or 3 pieces, can't remember. got it from ebay.

the bumpers were soften a bit during the restoration process. i like them like this than before.

thanks, unfortunately they don't offer oil can anymore. this is their brushed black oxide finish. they only offer black oxide to carbon steel putters.

going great! been my every day gamer. ran into a soggy round out of town last month (didn't realize it was going to rain and didn't bring my backup) but it fared well. left it outside the headcover for the drive home and immediately oiled it up with the yellow oil cloth from Scotty Cameron.

 

prior to that i did find some slight surface rust i believe inside the cavity early this year. thankfully it hasn't gotten worse as i do oil it after every round and put it back into a specific headcover in between rounds. it's very minor but was noticeable by me in direct sunlight.

 

other than that - no regrets. love the finish. i did remove the 3m sole tape as it was starting to slide off. now the sole is just showing some normal wear but nothing major.

a little rust or character never hurt anything. You can't keep it perfect forever and that's ok. Look at Jordan Speith 009, that putter looks amazing and it a rust bucket

$330 total included full restoration, a new grip, shaft ring and headcover.

Great looking putter. I had a Tei3 Santa Fe restored w/ lime highlights and grip/headcover many moons ago, wish I had never sold it.
