I really want to play, but I just don't know logistically if sleeping in my car the night before in order to make it is a good idea lol

 

Lol, it'll be worth the trip! Last years event at Southern Dunes was 62 miles one-way from my house in north Peoria & I'd do it again in a heartbeat

I drove from Western surprise last year!

 

I was there last year, I live in San tan valley, problem is I work until minimum midnight in phoenix, and usually until 2am on sat night into sunday... so I'm being literal when I say I'd sleep in my car.

 

It's an hour to home from work, 1.5 hrs to the course, 9 or 10am tee time.... math doesn't add up well lol

Blake on my good days I'm a 2 on my bad days I'm a 8. I haven't renewed my usga in 2016 last 2015 revision was 1.6 last 5 rounds 77-83. I'd imagine my recent bad play would have me around a 2.5

Blake, I'm sorry but I'll have to bail on this one. I am playing the Sierra vista open that weekend. They moved the tournament from September to may because of past weather issues in September. Sorry guys! I really like that course too!

Where are some good spots to stay the night Saturday night?

Is there going to be any kind of meet and greet type thing going on Saturday? If not, anyone interested in doing something like that?

A lot of people would be down for it...but not a lot of people down to organize these cat herding festivals. Really only blake, matt and mark have stepped up and made them happen, and it is exhausting for them. If you want to take the lead on one, I am sure all the boys will fall in happily :)

Lol, yeah, I didn't mean to come off sounding like I just wanted to show up & play :) ... I'd be glad to help organize

 

I guess the first step is to see how many people would be interested in a quarterly event....so who's in?
