Chip just created this Notchback CS Prototype in an Oil Can finish for me. I wanted it to look fairly clean with only a bit of paint. Great looking putter and Chip had this finished extremely fast. Couldn't believe how quick he was done milling and stamping the head. Great communication and a real professional to deal with. This won't be my last Black Lab

That's the one I have. BL1 with 3X Oil Can. Still can't game that head design (why I'm buying the #7) but he builds one hell of a putter for the $$$.

I bought this beauty from Chip last year. Also bought the Fuji Ferrari red carbon shaft from him and put it together myself. My favorite putter by far. Has a black oxide finish. :)

Looks really awesome, has a touch of blue tint to it, not sure its the pics. Chip is amazing !!!

I was incorrect with how the finish is applied. Per Chip the finish is actually done through torching and then wiped down with a silicone cloth. Awesome looking in pics and can't wait to see it in person.

I am a bit biased, but I have to say that Chip is putting out some fantastic putters and his lineup / variety has grown nicely over the year. It's been a pleasure getting to know him (and his dog!) and I can't wait to see what 2017 brings for Black Lab Golf.

When you combine great looking putters with custom options, top notch quality for the money, and excellent customer service, you have a winning formula.

AS is TMAC, I'm a little biased also. Chip is one of the best guys you can ever deal with. I have several of his sticks, but cannot wait to receive the 2 #7's ! Love the 7 head, but can't roll a 345G head and not a huge fan of the inserts. Chip has gotten the weights up to what I like, and was also able to keep the smaller version of the head. He is putting out some awesome sticks at an unbelievable value. Everything about his putters is first class. I'm an oil can guy but the"blurple" torch finish is sick in person. Well done Chip !!

I putted great on my first round with my BL-9 yesterday! 7 one putt greens, one three putt, one 30' bomb made. On my way to a nice 76 my third lowest score of the year, about 50 rounds.

Missed only one putt within 10'. I have been putting better this year after figuring out it was the weakest part of my game, I switched to the spider oversized taylormade putter that is crazy moi, and worked on my stroke. I couldn't get over its ugly look and horrible feel. This flange blade, fully set up for my stroke, has fixed that! Looks awesome and flat out performs.

It's a stretch, but is there a chance he would do a blade (8802) style putter? The craftsmanship of the BL-1 is awesome, and would love to see how he does a blade style. I would buy it so fast, my bank account wouldn't know what hit it.

 

Ask him about the BL-B, which is his 8802 model. Mine came in and I'm fitting it up with my usual LLRC underlisting and Neumann Leather grip. I recommend having him radius the toe to be more rounded like the Wilson. It really makes the appearance change.

My new Black Lab Geogolf massaged Dalehead is now finished as well. Cant wait to roll it (on the carpet anyway). I may have to try it out in Florida at the end of the month.
