Pittsburgh "special" teams:

http://www.nfl.com/v...nside-kick-fail

It's not like it hasn't been done before, even by Boswell himself:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabona

"The first known use of the rabona in American football was done by Dallas Cowboys placekicker Toni Fritsch, who was a former soccer player that used it late in the fourth quarter of the 1972 NFC Divisional playoffs during an onside kick, that contributed to a historic come from behind 30–28 victory against the San Francisco 49ers.[8] Also used by Rice University placekicker Chris Boswell to successfully deceive his opponents, the University of Houston during an onside kick. Boswell had learned the trick from his father, who grew up playing association football in Brazil.[9] On November 6, 2016, Boswell had an unsuccessful rabona kick in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were playing against the Baltimore Ravens. Kansas State University placekicker Matthew McCrane attempted an unsuccessful rabona onside kick in the 2015 Alamo Bowl.[10]"

But it is best left to real footballers:

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.

I think the NFC East is grossly overrated, I mean Dallas' one "really good" win doesn't look all that great now that the pack just lost at home to the colts. The eagles have lost 4 of 5. The boys have the easiest schedule in the league and sooner or later will be exposed as pretenders.

I disagree on the afc north too, the browns being 0-9 are skewing the w-l record. I think the other three teams could win a playoff came on the road against anyone but the pats. No way I'd say that about anyone in the south.

Denver really has to figure out a way to stop backs, whether it be on the ground or in the passing game. Tom and Bill are probably just salivating right now.

NFC East non-conference record: 6-1-1

AFC North non-conference record: 1-7-1 (1-4-1 w/out Browns)

AFC South non-conference record: 6-4

Now, in aggregate, every team in the South has been out-scored this year. Only 7 teams have a worse net scoring total than the first place Houston Texans, lol!

Outside of the Patriots, you could make a case for every team being a pretender. Falcons? 259 pts against (4th worst), Broncs? Chiefs? Raiders?

Actually crab that's a good point I think everyone but the pats just suck.

we will be revisiting these comments later in the season :cheesy:

That's fine, I hope I'm wrong, I'm just mad that denver has some glaring holes right now.

Exposed in stopping the run, especially when they get guards pulling whether it be power or counter runs and they are struggling covering backs in the receiving game.

Offence is stagnant, oline though improved still isn't quite good enough. Nothing on offence looks easy.

Look on the bright side that you did not lock down Osweiler. Then by now in this season you could really have a gripe.

I don't agree with they all suck besides the Pats. It still is the best professional sport with great entertainment value to me.

Each week there are great matchups and unlike college it is not a majority of 25-30 point wins.

For instance last week --Ohio State Michigan Washington Louisville Clemson Wisconsin all smoked their opponents handily,

and in comparison in the NFL yesterday something like 7 or 8 games were decided on the last possession.

That is quite a bit more compelling don't you think?

I don't know if you are being serious or not saying everyone but the Pats suck. I just can't see it that way.

Remember that their are something like only 300+ members of the NFL Hall of Fame

The odds of making it to the NFL from college is astronomical.

I think it is a great product and I have been a supporter of NFL action for 40+ years.

If you took away the NFL I would have to be committed. lol

After the fumble video last year, I hate to agree with Cam, but if Brady, Brees, etc... were taking the hits he is, it would look like a ticker tape parade with all the flags flying.

By the same token, Cam also puts himself in harms way. He's not as savvy at avoiding hits as Wilson (unless the ball is on the ground, lol).
