The 5's felt more clunky to me vs the 11's. I ended up returning both 5's I bought.

I guess I'm just spoiled by how great the 11's are to walk in but yeah the 5's just felt like wearing boots when I walk with them. I still like the fit and they are comfortable just not as light as the 11's. Also all the 5's I have outside of the fire reds are all the material of the wolf greys so not great for wet conditions.

To me I think it's all in the sole. The 11s have a golf specific sole. The 5s and the coming 4s don't have this, it's more of a flat bottom like non golf Jordan sneakers. Heck the 4s look more to me like a basketball shoe with those screw in spikes added to them thus far.

I think the sole of the Iv's dont work for the look, wish they had the sole like the ST Trainers, which I love!!

I do however like them on the V's, I have most of the V's and they are to me very comfortable and don't feel clunky. I like that they are wider which is why I had to get rid of the VI's, they were too narrow for my foot.

All that being said, I wear them because they are "Not" normal looking golf shoes, isnt the reason we wear the Jordans is because they are Jordans and not normal golf shoes. I have several FJ Dryjoys for that. Golf is sport and these are sporty shoes IMHO.

I get that on the look, but I think you can do a little something to blend the two together which IMO can be done with a more traditional golf sole without taking away from the look. The Vs are very comfortable on the foot, but I think a lot of that is internal construction and padding and not the sole, and I think the sole is fairly thick for a golf shoe; the lack of much arch taper has an awkward feel for some. The ST trainer sole (which I love as well) felt very comfortable and well grounded, and worked well on the 1s, VIs, and didn't look out of place IMO on the custom IVs made for Pat Perez. Nobody saw those and figured they were regular golf shoes. When I saw the pics of the IVs a page back I honestly assumed it was somebody taking their Jordans and screwing spikes in the soles. These two more recent releases in the Vs and IVs look like they're making more of an effort to make it a bball shoe that can be worn for golf rather than something blends, which is fine if they want to do that, but I didn't hear many asking for it and I don't get the change.

Curious to know if you have any 11's to compare? I find my 5's heavy compared to my 11's which is why I never walk in them.

i dont. my other shoes are 270's, victory tours, and roshe G tours.

as well as lunar commands and vaporstorms for winter/ wet.

i can see the heavy argument, but that doesnt bother me much. ive never noticed.

I love the 5's for golf and I think they are a great retro option. Definitely better than some of the others they have tried.  It's just tough to beat out the 11's.  Maybe I havent given the 5's a fair shake though.  I'm going to try walking in them the next few rounds and see.  Do your feet get overly hot? One thing I've noticed is that they are more padded and I feel like that might happen.

I think they should come out with some Jordan 1 low golf shoes. They should be able to adapt a good golf sole to it. And the color combos are endless.

Save the 1s for special releases/occasions and just give us the dunks again. Basically the same shoe anyway just small detail differences

Agreed. Drop the coveted colorways in the 1s occasionally, and then drop a bunch of Dunks. That being said, I have an ugly pair of Dunks that I rarely wear. 1) The colorway is kinda gross. 2) They are really heavy for a golf shoe.

nope. only thing that bothers me is grass getting stuck in the felt material (or whatever it is). I gotta get my hands on a pair of 11's apparently

I have 2 pairs of V’s... Fire red and wolf grey. I had the black metallics as well but decided I didn’t need 3 pairs and the wolf greys won out.

That said, what made me pull the trigger is the fact that they all have dark soles. I figure they’ll last longer? I like the 11’s but I feel like that sole can’t stay white long.

11s are my favorites; though I wish I would have known to go a half size big in them. I learned that after I bought the concords TTS and they were snug. The other pairs I have of them are all a half size up. I didn't think I was going to like the 5s but I'm glad they're TTS. I still haven't worn the "white/fire red" pair yet; so a few weeks ago I finally took out the black/grape ones as they matched my outfit that day. They're really better than I expected. I've now worn them a couple rounds and have put one round on my WINGS 5s too.

Same here. Half size big in the 11's. The 5's are nowhere near as comfortable as the 11's IMHO.

Just waiting for a re-release of the 1's. I also really liked the ST Trainer. They were so comfortable.

lace lab for me.  I bought a pair of whites for my Metallic black 5's and switched them out.  Finished product looks great.  They even have charts to tell you what length you need for the lows.
