I'm bummed that mine came damaged -- when I did the return online, it didn't look like exchanging was an option, so I think I'm out of luck on getting a new pair. Though, as one of my buddies mentioned to me, I'm not sure how well I could really pull off that look on the course.

They are one of the more well executed Jordan golf shoes- I appreciate them trying to keep them as close to original as possible but have a feeling these would have been better with the old TW13 sole.

Got my V's out on the course today, very comfortable and a very stable shoe. I could see people not wanting to walk 18 in these but by no means would I consider them uncomfortable, but yes, there are more cushioned soles out there that are better for walking.

 

Great grip, and like I stated very stable throughout the swing. Great looking shoe as well, had a ton of compliments today!

so reading many reviews of these shoes.. let me make sure i am understanding this. many of you returned these because of some squeak, but after all the complaints, there isnt any squeak at all, it is just nikes way pf packaging these beauties over the top? so now all of you that returned them are all SOL because they are not available anymore?

i must admit, reading all the complaints about the squeak had me worried as mine hadn't arrived yet. but now that i got them over the weekend i must say they are true to size, super comfortable, quiet and dope as hell looking!!

i feel bad for all of you that jumped the gun too fast and returned.

I returned mine, but because they were damaged in transit. I found the little insert that was causing the squeaking after people mentioned it in the thread, and before returning.. The problem was that they shipped it in a box that was quite a bit larger than the shoe box without any kind of padding to keep the inner box from moving around, and when I got them, there was a gouge and a black scuff in separate spots on the toe of the left shoe.

People buy these for all sorts of reasons. Some want to wear, some want to collect, some just want to flip and my guess is a lot of the returns start there.

 

I returned mine. I normally order up on size to account for a wider foot, so doing so on these left me with a shoe that was massive. That and I did not care for the sole, particularly the flat portion between the heel and forefoot. Every other golf shoe I own has some sort of recess between the two sections, so the completely flat portion between felt really odd to me.

Man I finally tried on. Love the look. They are definitely a bit firmer than others. Will definitely keep. Same size as always.

Maybe i missed this but can someone do a side by side with these and the 11s? I’m curious about the height difference. The primary reason i didn’t go for them was that big tongue but also that they looked much taller than the 11s. Just curious if someone has both, thanks.

the shape mimics jordan 5 lows. you can find a ton of google images of people wearing regular jordan 5s that would be helpful. then just compare to photos of 11s, and voila. I will tell you the tongue of the 5s is more pronounced, but the ankle height of the shoes is similar.

but, those are how jordans fit. pretty flat. thats the way all jordan basketball shoes have always been designed, per the GOAT himself. i would be disappointed if these jordan golf shoes were designed any different than the way the OG were designed.

While that's true to regular Jordans, this is the first time I've noticed it on golf shoes, and I've purchased at least 4 different versions, retros, trainers, adg, whatever. What works for the hard court doesn't necessarily translate to the golf course, at least in my opinion.

so maybe the lazy way of slapping a sole designed for a golf shoe with a Jordan upper is the way to go for those that don’t like the flatness of how Jordan 5’s fit? ?

Yes the early ones are flat these are literally hard as a rock though the original soles are not bullet proof plastic on the bottom.

I'm sure they are playable and they do look awesome but to me the sole felt super stiff and flat.

For someone who walks a majority of the time, I just couldn't convince myself that I would actually wear them enough to keep. They were definitely stiffer than previous models and the toe box was much roomier. It is too bad because I wanted to like them because they look so close to the original, however in terms of practicality they just didn't do it for me.

It's worked well for all previous Jordan golf releases. I think generally people like a Jordan retro look with a performance golf shoe feel--the 5's are probably just a really difficult silhouette to do this with given the air bag.

That said, I'm keeping mine for the occasional round that I ride but won't be purchasing any additional colorways.
