Seattle Deals

Unfortunately, I am no longer a junior golfer and no longer pay $365/year at Gold Mountain. Coming to UW and being (mostly) financially independent has made me realize how fantastic of a deal I had as a junior. In the coming months I am looking to play a good amount of golf, but it seems that no public courses offer "all you can play" rates. Even stranger, the courses I called did not offer punch cards. Playing 1-2 rounds a week at $30-40 is simply out of my price range, and out of my buddies' price range. Where are you guys playing for cheap? Are there any scorching deals I have overlooked?

Im further south (Portland) but sticker shock after Jr. Golf was nuts. If you want to play golf at lower rates work at a course or a place that offers an industry rate for employees. (retail golf shop, driving range ect.) Also GolfNow is a great place to check for cheap tee times.

I usually try to hit the golfnow hot deals. Most of the courses offer some discounted twilight rates or dew sweeper rates. You get what you pay for though in terms of course quality.

I've been playing quite a bit this year. Usually head over to McCormick/Gold Mtn for some GN Hotdeals or head down south. The RMG courses have been top notch in terms of conditioning and greens. Plus you could opt for the monthly membership which is ridonk cheap at $100/month or whatever it is.

Other than that I've been playing Jax a lot but those prices are so wack unless you have your PGC 20% discount achieved. By the way Jax is getting ready for thier men's club championship this weekend and the greens are the best I've seen them at Jax. I'd suggest to play the course soon if you can.

Don't UW students get some sort of discount at WA Nat'l? I know it's an Oki operated courses but you would think the home of the Huskies would hook up thier student body.

Otherwise there are great deals to be had out of the Seattle area. When I was younger and working in golf me and all my golf buddies would road trip 1-2 times a week and just explore the less popular courses around the state. Being out of school right now sure sounds nice and you know we're going to have an awesome summer again to play some long days of golf.

Not many when I was there. I just cut down on my golf and studied more, plus I didn't have a car and the bus sucked for getting to the outskirts of the city where all the golf seemed to be. I like the range on campus though. That Gold Mountain deal sounds pretty special. I guess they did their part in "growing the game" and now it seems they will get back some of the money now that you're an adult.
