Under Armour Gloves

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about doing a big order from Under Armour when I order my Drive One shoes. A couple of belts and a hat or two. But I really like their new gloves. I think the camo looks great on the palm, but they maintain that classic look from a golf glove on top. Anyone have any experience with the Strikeskin gloves? Durability, feel, fit. I'm not usually picky about gloves I just want them to not feel cheap and last more than a couple of rounds. I'm usually either a medium or a medium large gloves depending on the brand. I like them to fit fairly tight. Thanks.

I have two of the camo strikeskins. I haven't played a round yet with them but the feel great! Soft leather yet feel durable. I wear a large in FJ and these fit true to that. My only disappointment was I thought there was a grey camo color from the pics on ua's website but it turns out to be an almost dark green/brown camo.

I would go a size up. I got my regular size (not glove loyal) and it ripped in first round. Went a size up and has been great!

Are you sure its not the green camo one? What color is the UA logo on the front?

I have 2 of the regular strike skin tour gloves and I really like them. They are on par with any other high end golf glove I have ever used like Nike or Footjoy. I will probably end up getting a few more of these.

Yeah, it's not the bright green one. It looks almost like a faded normal camo. The UA logo is brownish/green. I like it still but just not what I was expecting.

I agree, I like my glove to be slightly loose so I wear a large, but with the UA they felt pretty snug with a large.

One thing I'd call out on the Strikeskin (Camo, if that's possibly the difference), the leather has a much thicker feel if you are more use to a Titleist Permasoft, G/Fore, or Footjoy equivalents. Size wise I wear Cadet M and found the UA to match.

Tried one on at the store, wasn't a huge fan. The fit was ok, but it felt like it would wear out fast and just be saturated with sweat after the round.

I usually wear an ML and it was a little too small. Also not as thin and soft as other premium gloves.

I have all 3. The Camo Tour Glove, seems a tad thicker than the regular, which I like, and think is on par with other premiums.

The coolswitch is also ok, but is a touch thicker.

I have 4 UA's and 4 FJ Pure Touch, set for the season.

I have a blue camo that I have yet to actually play with but observations thus far (echoing many from above):

- Seems to fit a little tighter than my usual FJ Sta-Sof (when comparing an XL in both)

- The UA leather seems to be thicker than the FJ in the palm

- The UA palm seems to be slightly textured (I compare the feel to the FJ rain glove palm) whereas the FJ palm is smooth

I would probably go up a size but I will wait until I get this one out on the course.

Is the coolswitch even thicker than the camo strikeskin?

those 2 are pretty close. The coolswitch does have the heatgear fabric in the glove, and it stretches a bit more.

As with all gloves, need to be tried on first, as not every brand has the right fit for everyone.
