IMHO you hit a Home Run especially with the Izette driver. I have 3 model 129s and none of them have the black finish. I always loved a black finished club especially a driver

Rambler, that 3 wood Ping would fetch you a mint on eBay

What Rambler has is the steel version. If I recall correctly it's the titanium version that brought big (relatively speaking) money.

I have a 3, 5 and 7 in the TISI Tec. Very easy to hit off the deck and large enough to be comfortable off the tee. I'm not sure any fairway woods Ping has offered in all the years since these were available have been an improvement.

Sco. Not sure what you mean by "keel". The notched hosel? Think this was the first irons from Ping that had this feature. Surprisingly, these were labeled as oversized. Suppose they were, when compared to the i3 Blade. But they appear no bigger than the i20's. If anything, a bit tidier in the overall execution and narrower in the sole. More offset in the i3.

O-Size = "Optimal"

I also found a solid set of i3-O's, 3-SW, plus 3,5,7 i3 fairways, a Craz-e G2i putter with a perfect Hoofer bag for $60 in a pawnshop. White dot, considering sending them back to Ping for black-dotting.

WoW !! great find !!!!!!!!! Have fun playing them !! Will be great !!

Countdown for Augusta!!!

Today, a 1-iron is punch-out club of choice, since I no longer carry the 2.

Most of my 2 irons I have bent back like a 1 iron to 19*. Found my old Eye2 1 iron in the closet the other day still has the Crossline Cord. May throw it in the bag for Sheets and giggles this weekend IF I get to play. Been a little under the weather the last 2 days but feeling ok now

Wow, I just looked that up on eBay, quite a difference between the steel and titanium... These don't seem to be worth a whole lot, but they do hit pretty well. Not enough to kick my rbz2 out of the bag though.

Managed to pick up a pretty lightly used set of '96 Big Bertha's, along with a BB bag in decent shape as well as what appears to be an un-hit FT-9 driver and a few other irons (mp53 3iron, old Wilson Reflex PW, BB driver & 2 BB warbird 3-woods). Getting the price stickers off was a bit of an ordeal but I then noticed they had a date of 2011. This bag has literally been sitting in this shop across from a golf course (Gus Wortham, Houston) for eight years. Ha. More credence to the idea that the items in a pawnshop are mostly window dressing that they could care less about actually selling half the time.

The surprising part about this set is that the original BB grips are un-cracked and still pliable. No real rust either, except some weird trace type lines on a few. Sand wedge looks perfect.

Also, the irons all have TT R300U shafts vs the uniflex or graphite you typically see. I'm not sure if this is an improvement or not.

The bad news is that adding this bag has blown my cover in the garage; the wife is not pleased. eBay awaits.

Although not technically classic in my book, those woods and that driver were big players when they came out. I preferred the steelheads but the Warbirds were great fairway woods!!

I pulled that same exact set of irons from a Goodwill probably three Summers back...2 through LW as I recall. I flipped them for a $100 profit.

$5 for a bundle off the “clearance rack” at a pawnshop to get at the Titleist PT’s. I figured the irons were useless as I’d never heard of them but I think they’re actually pretty serviceable. I took the 6 iron out and was crushing it. Are these “silver diamonds” some kind of build your own set?

Looking at the soles they actually seem like ok clubs. Especially for .50/club.

Also, anyone know what kind of TT shafts these might be?

Another find from this week. These Golden Rams looked like they might have taken a dip in hurricane Harvey so I almost didn't get them. But it was matching color week so I took a chance that they'd clean up ok.

$11 for the irons, $4 for the woods, which I only really got because the grips matched and I figured I might as well grab them

Golden Ram tour Grind 1-9, RP 6.5, "Pro Only " crown grips. Also, two Citation fairways.

I took the nine and seven out and they hit pretty sweetly.

Crusty state in the store

Cleaned up with some barkeepers friend. Chrome is still a bit beat. Will try and polish this weekend.

Faces are in decent shape.
