I play them.

With irons, aside from the Pinhawk SL set i built on a lark, the newest set I have are the TP MC set from 2011.  Most of my main rotation are from the 90s or earlier, with 2005ish MP-37 in the mix.  I also score better with these classic blade sets, which some find counter-intuitive.  Have to admit, I do sometimes as well, which is part of why i have that TP MC set, or the single length set.  LOL

With woods, it's to a lesser extent, but again, I buy them to play them.  Until this year, I could truthfully say my tee game was at least as good with persimmons as with more modern clubs, but that's been less true this year, for some reason.  It's especially ironic as I started the season exclusively playing persimmon at the top of the bag.  I don't know if my mid season improvement is related to switching to modern metal woods, or the usual working thru Minnesota off-season rust.

In any event, it's all about playing them.  ?

What were your thoughts on the single length ?

I find Single Length an interesting idea.  I can see it would work for some folks, in whole or in part.  I'm undecided on how well it might work for me; my last couple rounds were not so hot, and switching back to my Rams gave me much better results.

I think the Dual Length concept, like Pinhawk has, might be a better setup.  IMHO of course.  ?

This is a total stab in the dark but the more I think about it, the more I think it is a putter by Kirk Currie.  Back in the late 90's, Slazenger was one of the first companies besides Henry Griffitts to go all-in on custom clubfitting.  And they hired Kirk Currie to design their putters.  You could make them custom for the customer  on the spot by bending the hosel to the correct amount of offset and to get the amount of toe hang or face balance that you wanted.  All of those bendable hosels looked just like yours.  He is still around making custom putters.  You might reach out to them and see what they say.  https://www.best-putter.com/kirk-currie-putter.html

Check out the hosels on the putters on his website.  They are just like yours.

Awesome, thanks a lot for the info.

You're welcome.  Here is some more context on the guy.  He made custom putters for some pretty big names.  https://www.chron.com/sports/golf/article/Currie-has-putting-covered-from-start-to-finish-1593254.php

His home was apparently the TPC at The Woodlands so the face stamp on yours totally makes sense.

I actually have 3 of his putters...2 by Slazenger and 1 when he was making putters for the Ben Hogan company.    Here is a one of those original Hogans that I found in a thrift store, cleaned up, torched it blue and paint filled it.  Notice the similar hosel to yours?  I think mine turned out good.

Needs a wee little bit of cleaning on the canvas, and perhaps some conditioner on the leather.  If I can find a completed eBay listing for a bag like this, I might see about turning it into trade bait of some sort...apparently Ghurka bags (if authenticated) are worth a pretty penny.

I have a set of those PT1s, great score. Soak the faces in white vinegar and scrub clean (cloth, 0000 steel wool if necessary), and they will gleam. Those are the original grips, the same as my set. I changed the yellow paint fill to a metallic copper paint and they really pop. Have fun with those, they are a nice set.

Whats on the other end of this Super Stroke Grip?

An Odyssey White Hot head!  A little dirty, but in fantastic shape!  I've been thinking about saving up for a new Odyssey over the winter, but this will suffice.

Got it from the same shop as the Ghurka bag above.

What's on the other end of this Golf Pride Tour Classic?

A damn near brand new Ray Cook Gyro!

And this little guy is on the business end of a belly putter:

I'm loosely thinking of either cutting this silly boy down or re-shafting the whole thing.  Who knows?

It's getting time to take all of these to the putting green and seeing which ones work best for me.  I'm generally drawn towards more traditional blade shapes (when it comes to putters), but heck, when each one cost less than a Pepsi and a candy bar, why not try out as many as I can in real-world scenarios on natural turf...as opposed to the little carpeted putting greens inside the stores.

Scored a set of 61-62 Spalding Top Flite Professionals today for $8. (2i-9i) with stiff shafts and blue GP Victory grips.  They are in a vinegar soak right now for cleanup before I list them on eBay.  What a sweet looking iron though.  Here: https://www.ironfinder.com/Individual-Irons/spalding/top_flite_synchro-dyned_professional-61.htm

Found a cool den caddy today for $5.

That's right - the den caddy cost more than that Ghurka bag I shared above.
