Frozen shoulder , New swing

I'm right handed and my right shoulder is feeling better after a cortisone shot about 8 weeks ago.

I played my first round since August.

I was not expecting much,

Drives were OK some +220 yards

but no consistency with Hybrid - PW

I could not pinch the ball and grass at same time and take a divot

 

Any recommendations?

 

Shoulder feels good , limited movement (which may help my looping to long of swing)

? swing heavy club and build up some muscle memory? and get to know my NEW swing?

I've had it in both shoulders. Injections and physical therapy for over a year. When I was able to finally play again, I switched from steel to graphite shafts. I could never go back. Good luck.

Dealt with frozen shoulder for....yup, a full year. Same road, cortisone and PT. A less than joy filled experience. Getting back to playing at last, and have made the made the move to full graphite, and as well...I doubt I will go back.

I had frozen left shoulder last year. I could not reach my back pocket, barely touch my head. Cortisone and PT 3 days a week for 10 weeks to break the adhesion. I recovered my range of motion. I did quit league play for half the season, very limited play and no full sing practice unit I recovered. My handicap suffered. I find that I still need to do some of the exercises 2 days a week. Good luck with it. A nasty condition that I have experienced before. Chiropractor and a tens unit worked for me.

Diagnosed January of 2020, it’s been a year today! Didn’t try to hit a full shot until May and was pleasantly surprised that I could make reasonable swings... made switch to graphite and worked up to being able to make full swings (albeit shorter back swing) after about a month. Have lost 10-15 yards per iron, long irons don’t go very high anymore. Driver is probably 15-20 yards shorter on average and have lost that “extra gear”.  Tried PT and was told that I could do just as much at home with wooden dowel and wall stretches. Looking forward to what 2021 brings. BTW first couple of months were unbearable, no sleep and ZINGERS. not the good Dolly Madison ones either.
