Really not too surprising. We see it on the various tours on a regular basis. Did anyone really expect Gerina to hold on all day Sunday? You could predict the outcome. So tough to get that first one being the front runner, coming from behind like Jenny did, no pressure on her. It was tough watching Geina in that closeup shot at the end. She was holding it together. But fighting it.

Gerina is playing so well, this experience will help and hopefully the win comes for her very soon. When she gets that first one she could really take off.

I was really rooting for Gerina, but it was not to be. I suspect that Gerina will get her first win when she comes from behind on a Sunday afternoon, & doesn't feel all the pressure from family, hometown fans, being "expected" to win. She'll get it soon I think.

Agreed. It seems that there is no "home court" advantage in golf.

I have a feeling it depends on the person. For some I could imagine that having family and friends following them around shouting, living and dying with every shot doesn't necessarily help them play better.

Interesting final round. Once again, Gerina will learn from this, her time will come soon.

As far as the various comments about players' looks go, television is not enhancing to anyone out there. If you think a particular player catches your fancy when you watch broadcasts, attend an event and hang on to your hat.

Jenny played the best and deserved the win. I have seen her get snooty a time or two with volunteers, but nothing like was described earlier here. But I understand the classification with Cristie Grrr based on that. A dubious list to be on, for sure.

Have to agree with the general tone and description of the BJ and Bo stories, from my experience. Bo is generally the colder of the two as far as "outsiders" go, if that can be possible. I think the only real change has been a story of two on-course relationships between daughter and parents. The first part of Michelle's career, she did pretty much exactly as told, when told. In my opinon, she countered that by appearing aloof to fans to avoid any questions about her assumed subservience. That has completely reversed now. BJ and Bo jump to Michelle's commands when in close proximity and she has no problem with showing her frustration with them. The parents have simply taken out their angst on the public. Anyone who has seen up close a relaxed Michelle or a goofy, joking Michelle knows she deserves to be able to play like that all the time. It just doesn't seem likely. in my opinion.

But Shin had the lead the whole back 9 iirc. She just held up better. Yang was over par on the back nine as well. Piller was clearly off her game yesterday. She looked, to me, very tense and nervous compared to her norm.

Agreed. She wasn't herself and she appeared flat at times. Trying way too hard to win.

Definitely agree with all that. But I think the pressure of sleeping on a lead and getting it after nine holes is very, very different. By the time Jenny had the lead she was comfortably settled into her round.

Nice to see Jenny win. She and Chun had the low rounds of the day. It is funny this far into the season someone who is 23 is now the oldest winner. Did Jenny Shin ever have a US flag next to her name?

Pretty sure Jenny used to play under the USA flag.

Looking though some photo's the captions quote her as 'from USA' prior to 2012, after that they quote both US and Korea for awhile. She seems to have picked up her Hanwha sponsorship in 2013 after Adams dumped them all so maybe it was around then she decided she liked the South Korean flag better....

Interesting. Wondering if anyone has any insight into why she might like the fake English/Aussie accent better than the American one.

Britney Spears was doing the same thing before she shaved her head and went crazy. Keep an eye on Shin.

Funny. It is a very odd thing. Meltdown probability definitely on notice
