I attended The Legends of Golf last week and really enjoyed watching the old guys. Monty looks quite fit actually, I'd guess he's weighing in at less than 220 lbs.............about 50 or 60 less than Fuzzy! Lots of good golf to watch. Stadler and Hall Sutton have not been hitting the fitness trailer. Woody Austin's game looks quite good. Monty, David Frost, Roger Chapman, and Jesper all looked to be playing quite well.

Fun event.

.............and Jack is still awesome to watch, birdied the final hole in front of a huge gallery.

I am sure the Champions tour will be happy to have JD, I mean does anyone watch it any more? Pro golf is about one thing, entertainment, and the Champions tour needs some life pumped into it.

That being said, I hope JD can focus enough to be relevant. Not sure if that is possible.

I enjoy watching guys my age play. It gives a sense of hope however if Daly jumps onto the Champions tour I'm thinkin' it will be like Kymar tryin out for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleading squad.

Big John always gets the hate around here, he is a blue collar guy who still loves this game and is a very nice guy. I think it will be fun to watch him play on the champions tour, he still draws big crowds anywhere he goes.

Well Kymar draws big crowds every time he walks into Home Depot.... so there :swoon:

I wish I hadn't read this post. I can't get the thought of it out of my head and when I see it in my minds eye, it frightens me.....

Why do some people and the media kinda celebrate JD's party lifestyle, or at least find it humorous, but Johnny football is severely frowned upon? Not that either is right or wrong, but just the difference in public opinion is interesting to me,

JF is in a team sport with teammates that you have a commitment to and a team you represent. JD is a solo act and it doesn't matter that he shows up drunk or anything else. His sponsors are the only ones who might care. And just like the Browns did to JF they would can his arse.

The World Golf Hall of Fame cares. His behavior on the course might keep him from getting that recognition.

I've seen what volcanic ash can do to airplane engines. No way in hell do I want to try eating it.

Pound for pound has to have been one of the longest with his irons at least. I don't remember how far he got it out there with the driver but I do remember him just killing his irons.

Jesper and Justin Thomas iron off. Can they hit a 3-iron their combined weights?

the difference is JD has more natural talent at the pro level in his big toe than Johnny Football has in his whole body... people will overlook a lot for a nice guy who has wowing talent.. Johnny football is a bit of a ***** and at the pro level isn't wowing anyone

Your memory must be lacking. JD got into serious trouble for domestic violence, trashing hotels and basically being an a******. Quit rehab several times, lost sponsors and was broke at one point and the media didn't cut him an ounce of slack. Came close to committing suicide which was widely known because he talked about it. The Johnny football analogy is spot on but I have to disagree that the media found it funny.

They'll set attendance records at some venues. IMO, with no cut, he has potential to just play.......Could be different, But he's still JD........

Because Daly is a good old country boy. Hard living, hard playing, long ball hitter. Heavy set guy with huge fluid swing and, according to his peers, more talent than just about anybody else. Gives the impression that he just doesn't give a damn. He could be a country song.

Manziel is a spoiled little rich kid.

Wonder if he'll play the SR tour.

Got to meet him last year at his charity tourney. Seemed like a chill guy

Unless he gets drunk and misses his tee time Friday, I would say yes, he will play the Sr. tour.
