Ping would endear themselves to a lot of players if they would expand their "no upcharge" shaft choices to include things like the PX LZ and AMT's. With their buying power the cost impact to them would be nominal. At minimum they should reduce the shaft upcharge to something more reasonable. $40 for C taper and the like is a gouge.

And speaking of gouge,,,er, I mean Gorge, Glide Gorge, I kind of like their cavity treatment better with the Ping name in clear view. Oh well, no big deal though.

Agreed. I think they would look better with the Ping script in the cavity versus the iblade script. That is not going to stop me from buying them though, they still look good!

might have just been listening to those that thought the glides would look better with a clean cavity (taking the glide script out of the cavity). i agree ping would look better in the spot iblade is in, but it would depend on where they then put the iblade at. im glad they kept the cavity clean of any lettering. makes these look even cleaner than the glides. so would rather they do it this way than the way they did the glides. now if they could just replace iblade w ping and do nothing else, thatd be great, or maybe just move iblade to the hosel, but if it means iblade going back in the cavity like the glides, no thanks.

I said on page 1 or 2 that they should put ping where Iblade is and iblade under the hosel. So I 100% agree. Seems so obvious but what do I know compared to ping.

You never know, maybe they will course correct and switch it before retail production?

As long as the build sheet says "n Goff. 1/2" short and silver dot PX6.0", I don't care what it says on the rest of it.

Yep. 100% agree. The "PING" on the base is SO classic. Put what you'd like on the hosel... iBlade or sBlade, iGlide (my choice) or put PingMan there. iBlade (iGlide!) should indeed be where "Glide" is.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

These look great, clean. Although not sure why they call them "blades" when they are a CB? Even filled undercut it seems?

lol, lets be fair... hasn't usage of "blade" by Ping always been a designation relative to their own iron lineup? I mean they've done it before...

or to put it in better perspective.... product_142827.jpg

Uhh, yeah I guess everything is relative..

Can you order irons from PING without any paint fill? I think I remember reading on here that someone had a set of iE's with no paint fill ordered from PING.

No paint fill on these would make them look even better imo.

Aceton

Yeah, that's what I was thinking after someone replied that is was $13.75 per club for no paint fill. There isn't much paint fill on these clubs so doing it yourself wouldn't take much time.

If they put PING or Pingman there, I wouldn't even mess with it.

$13 isn't bad when you consider their higher end anomaly doesn't offer that level of customization even with the 50+% price increase.

I guess that's the difference in service between a component company and a full-build OEM. Maybe the anomaly customers can pay $26 per club to the fitter to have them remove the paint fill?

People need to realize the reason the cost is there isn't because removing paintfill is difficult. It's because something in the build process is now different, and requires attention. It's INCREDIBLY easy to do yourself (I do it to all of my irons), and I would recommend that before paying $90+.

Titleist TSR3 9* w/ GD UB-6 (S)
Titleist TSR2 15* & 21* w/ GD UB-7,8 (S)
Titleist u505 22* w/ Atmos Blue HB 85 (S)
Titleist T200/150 5-PW w/ Steelfiber i110 (S)
Vokey SM8 50*, 55*, 60* w/ S300

I'm sure that's plausible, but that's irrelevant to my initial point. You'd expect better customization options with "higher end" products. I don't want to detract too much from the i blade buzz, so that's all I'm gonna say about that.

Ping offers a good product at a more marketable price with better customization options from their assembly line than most all oems and even some boutiques.
