Who is the undercover LPGA pro ?

The long awaited undercover pro LPGA edition is finally here in the latest GD. The Pro dishes out her take on the Koreans, Latins, Chinese and Americans on tour. She specifically took time to bash the American "mean girls". (The illustrations with the article are girls dressed in matching pink outfits, with pink bags and pink balls. Coincidence ? )

 

She:

 

-Lived in US for a while.

(non American)

 

-Has only a few good friends on tour, all of them Americans

(likely speaks English natively, and also judging by her writing)

 

-Wishes she spoke a second languages, but she doesn't.

( either British or Aussie )

Because it comes from GD, not gonna give it much credence. They have proven over the last couple of years that they are desperate and will run just about anything they think will cause a stir. I'm sure much of it rings true, but I bet it's a composite of stories from multiple sources and then sensationalised to the max. I get that as a business they need revenue but I just don't like the spirit of it. I have attended LPGA, I watch it when it's on TV, I even lurk sometimes in that Seoul Sisters forum (there's good inside poop there sometimes). In other words I'll stick to forming my own nasty opinions about the participants.

The only Canadian who has been on tour for a few years is Alena Sharpe. And she definitely doesn't strike me as a undercover pro. The writing is from someone under 30.

She is usually seen with Michelle, Ernst and the "younger" pros. Maybe that's why there is a compliment paid to Wiesy from UTP.

I was almost thinking of Sandra Gal or a Korean who has been in or raised for awhile in America. Does Mirim Lee fit the bill.

 

Sounded like she wasn't overly fond of not fitting in with the Koreans. Good to hear that Wie is cool to the other ladies on tour. Also feel like her comments about the blondes confirm what a lot of us feel, the Morgan, Paula posse isn't exactly welcoming to the tour. Interesting to see how the younger pro's act as they age. Seems like Lexi, Wie and then the younger crop like JMG get that being cool can go a long way. I follow a few on Instagram and it's interesting to see who they post pics with after reading these comments.

 

Also think Bam Bam is in the Blonde posse but that she could care less, just who she came up in the tour with. Seems more aloof to the whole pro golf thing and doesn't care enough to treat any one well or poorly, just in her own (fishing) world.
