He looked sharp to me...in fact it is funny you mention it, my dad turned to me when we were watching 17 and said that he thought Stenson looked a notch more intense than anyone...he had played about ten extra balls around the green (chipping) on that hole, only one other player had taken the time to chip around that much...Tiger.

 

Stenson then went and piped his 3 wood down 18 about 280...man. If he can master these UNREAL greens, he can be a factor.

Yes...in fact I only noticed him after I looked at the picture!

 

I have to say, Chad Campbell struggled all day, the fairway, the tee, the green, I would be shocked if he is around this weekend, he just seemed to be looking for something and was frustrated. I hope he finds it before Thursday!

 

Monty is playing a T.P. Mills, by the way

 

The last one my Dad took as Monty passed us right in the middle of the merchandise tent. It was crazy, he was just shopping with the rest of us, buying hats and t-shirts and was holding bags for his (wife? girlfriend?) and even hat a hat embroidered with something. Very nice guy when I wished him well this week.

Nope, I have seen him play yesterday and today, and at the range and did not see a Sumo2 anywhere near him. He had his usual setup when we saw him each time.

I've heard that Stenson is ready for this. Although i've also heard that part of his Srixon deal is mega mega bucks if he wins a major! As you say, if he putts well, he'll be there or there abouts. Surprised to see Fanny with a staff bag. She's been carrying a stand bag for the past few weeks due to a bad back. Thought she'd leave the staff bag until Thursday but she must be o.k.

 

Good to see Monty with a smile on his face. If he takes the pressure of himself (and the fans don't give him a hard time) he's got a reasonable chance.

There's a pic of Henrik Stenson (7th pic down) hitting his drive, but in his bag in the background there seems to be a Nickent Hybrid headcover. Does anyone know if he's been trying this instead of the 585H or am I just wrong?
