There are so many sales going on right now (Memorial Day sales etc..) where you can get 20-30% off of already reduced shirts on sale. I don't think I own a shirt that retails under $60, however I end up paying $20-40 for them. RLX has a big sale going on, Fairway Styles, Trendy Golf, even GolfSmith, Golf Galaxy, TGW, etc...

Where can one find this RLX sale? I know Trendy Golf has a 4 for the price of 3 sale going on, but that only equates to 25% off and that's only if all 4 items are the same cost.

The Ralph Lauren site has regular sales throughout the year and that is the time to pounce! Also, depending on your size, the clearance items are usually wicked cheap.

Have never paid more than $25 for Greg Norman at Macy's. Don't need to wear what Ricky or Rory wear at the prices some companies are asking.

As others have said, try the outlets. Or just go to a good TJMaxx or Marshalls...sometimes you have to go a couple of them to find one that has good golf gear. I picked up multiple pairs of shorts for $19.99, Callaway shirts for $24.99, they also had Under Armour and Peter Millar shirts for around the same price.

But I agree with you about how stupid the prices have become. I will spend money on nice clothing, especially for work. But for golf I can't bring myself to pay $70 for a pair of shorts. Or $110 for a shirt just because it has the Nike logo on it.

Agree with everyone else here. I don't even look at the new stuff in catalogs or OEM websites. Amazon, Costco, TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls, online golf shops (TGW, Rock Bottom, etc.), OEM web sites all have lots of discounted golf apparel. $25 for golf shirts is the cutoff for me.

Pick some brands/manufacturers/retailers you like. Sign up for email notifications. Receive instant discounts on your initial purchase. Receive all kinds of weekly discounts via email from that point on. For instance, if you are a Fairway & Greene fan, they're having their Memorial Day sale with 30% of everything. Bobby Jones is having a 50% off sale. Soon, there will be tons of Father's Day sale notifications being sent. Now, don't be naïve -- you're not gonna find giant discounts on this season's UA, Nike, etc.....because most are under MAP, so the retailer can't really do anything with certain brands. If you like those, as others have suggested you're best bet is ebay, Amazon or something along those lines. If you like last seasons styles, places like Stein Mart, Costco, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc......will generally have a good selection at pretty great prices. Or check out some of the golf retailers (Golfsmith, TGW, Edwin Watts, PGASS, Carl's, etc.) discount sale catalogs. You can pretty much pay as much as you want, or as little as you want for golf clothes. It's up to you to decide how much you want to work at it.
