Sick of outrageous pricing

Add Budget Golf and Rockbottomgolf to the list as well. Budget Golf will stock the latest line and then once a company like Adidas comes out with the next line they will run "our cost" sales to dump inventory. You can get shirts from the previous year for cheaper than anywhere else. I'll see shirts at the other places people have listed still for 39.99 and these two will have them for 19.99 or 29.99.

I'll see a shirt I like that comes out and it costs $70, wait 3-6 months and be able to buy it for $30 at one of the stores.

If you must have a new item, I agree on Ebay, also Dicks always sends me stuff like 25% off one clothing item coupons. I'll use it on a pair of pants or something nice that I really want and know won't be discounted for awhile.

This is one of those things where you have a choice, depending a little on how bad you want things.

If you look online at all the new cool stuff every day, and you must have it, then things are going to be expensive.

If you don't check all new releases and just go to a store and pick some nice stuff when they have a sale, it's going to be cheap.

I tend to do a mix of both, if I think I must have something, I cave and buy. But in really a LOT of occasions, I've just waited for a sale to start, and they almost always still have at least half of the stuff I'm interested in at some store. I know some disagree :taunt: , but there's no point in buying 10 shirts, 4 jackets, 6 pairs of pants and 5 pairs of shoes every season for me anyway.

agree. i'll keep up to date on the latest releases, but just to note what i'd keep an eye out for and what i won't.

sometimes i manage to find what i lusted after 6 months ago for half the price, and other times i'm SOL. but i do tend to find deals more times than not.

My latest great place to buy...... online logo companies. When I started my new company a few months back I was looking for some polo shirts to put my logo on. When I went into their "discount" area there were the same $70 to $90 Nike, Adidas, FJ golf shirts and I was getting them for $13 to $30. Usually if you order 6+ (of different items) they include the logo set-up for free. So now I have a bunch of really nice golf shirts with my logo on the front chest for dirt cheap.

One only pays retail if they choose to do so.

(anyone can add to these:

Rule 1 - Sign up with clothing manufacturers that people here advocate and golf OEMs that sell golf apparel for emails

Rule 2 - Go to Websites and take advantage of discount coupons they give first-timers. They also have closeouts.

Rule 3 - in a pinch, shop Costco, Marshalls, Kohls, eBay

Rule 4 - always keep your eyes open throughout the year

Rule 5 - Ask for a discount. I've emailed websites, and told them I'm spending over a 100-200. Can you send me a coupon code?

Had a quick look at golf shoes earlier today. Since when did the most expensive pair leap from ~£100 to £200? ECCO shoes are all absurdly expensive. And wtf is going on with the Nike Flyknit golf shoes???!!!! Golf shoes have clearly moved on drastically since my purchase of a pair of adidas 360's...

If your down south, Academy Sports and Outdoors always has a golf apparel clearance rack. Yesterday they had top end Oakley and under armour shirts for $25. No XXLs for my 6'5'' frame though :( ....

This. $24.99 Nike polos and their in house brand, BCG, is my go to for shorts. I'm 6'3" with big legs and their shorts are awesome, under $20 also.

I also just bought brand new name brand golf polos from the local play it again sports for $13.99 each.
