Leupold GX3i not working great

My course has reflectors on the top of the flag, can't remember the last time the unit beeped.

I'm having issues with my GX3i. The cross hairs are vivid but the numbers are washed out wth parts of the digits missing. Changed batteries, checked modes but to no avail.

 

As an update: I called Leupold's customer service and was told to ship the unit in. I did and today I received the new replacement. Thank you, Leupold, and thank you, fellow WRX'ers, for serving as a helpful resource!

I have the Leupold GX3-i2, I was wondering if anyone knows what the Mirco-USB port, behind the small cover with the screw, is for? Out of curiosity I tried plugging it into the computer. The display on the rangefinder reads USb and shows the reticle, not flashing. The computer doesn't respond to it being plugged in and I can't find any information anywhere for what it may be for.

This is my second unit. My first one was not reading yardages just after the warranty expired. I contacted Leupold for a fix and they replied they do not do repairs on optics which I found odd since they sell scopes also. 
They ended up talking me into buying another at a great “discount” but at retail price. 
Now this one is showing “Err” and not picking up yardages and yes it is close to the end of its warranty. Think I’ll try another brand this time around.

My GX 5i stopped picking up any yardages. Won’t lock on to prism or flagstick

Thank you for this thread. My GX-4 display fritzed years ago and i didnt know i could try and send it back for repair or replacement as its years old. Shipping out tomorrow and we will see what happens.

This company makes a solid product and it sounds like the way they treat their customers is just as solid.  
 

years ago, I had my bag tip over into a small stream that was moving pretty fast (cart did not lock properly). Of course this was during a club tourney and of course I lost my laser.  Could not find it anywhere. A week or so later, I was back out on the course with no one behind us and so I asked my group if they minded I take a short walk down the stream just to see.  Low and behold my laser’s string attachment had caught onto a twig with the unit still under the water.  I took it home and let it dry out very good. Put in a new battery and found that it still worked great! This was about 10 years ago now and the unit still works.

Had the unit for 5 years, no issue. Dropped it recently and now it will only pick up prisms on the flag?

anybthoughts?
