Everywhere in Australia is under lockdown, going out in the car over Easter will get you a $1600 fine, driver and every passenger, move out of state and it’s automatic isolation for 14 days when you go back home, states have issued permits before you can cross the state lines, all roads are closed with a police cordon to stop everyone without a pass.

we had a doctors appointment yesterday and it was quite a different experience, book in, the desks are cordoned off, no contact. Go outside and wait in car, your doctor comes out into the car park and shouts your name when it’s your turn. Do not touch the doctors door handle, had a flu injection, chair we sat in cleaned before and after, one person in nurses station, no contact talk with doctor, next one will be online. Pharmacy was the same, no cash, touch and go only, did not sign for medication only three people at a time allowed in the pharmacy, doors to all shops wide open, security at doors to limit the amount of people in and out, a strict count is kept of everyone in the store.

What a different world we live in at present, bring back normality..

Honest to gawd, you can't make this stuff up. It's like a novelist's dystopian future come to life!

It's not quite that bad here, but the authorities are running around handing out citations for outrageous amounts of money to social distancing offenders. Some of it maybe justified, others not. So much for constitutional rights! We're staring at a very dark version of the future...

I get going to the liquor store and buying by the case or having such delivered. I was just shocked at the amount you can order everyday! One would wonder if folks were setting up speakeasies around the neighbourhood...

Getting very used to having almost everything delivered, the weekly grocery shopping has turned out much better than shopping in store. The fruit and vegetables in store from the supermarket delivering are vastly inferior to what is being delivered. apparently they fill the order from out the back of the shop so the perishable items are the freshest they could be, they are then delivered within a small time slot so we are really on the winning side. The downside is our preferred shop does not home deliver which means we are paying more than normal, up to 30% difference so we are cutting back until this is over.

would not surprise me if they were setting up grog shops, there are some rough areas around 10 miles from where we live. Don’t forget the amount you can purchase now is restricted, not so long ago I could have unlimited delivered.

Son has a wine fridge, he looks round for good quality wine and usually buys a few bottles when it comes up, at present he has around 50 bottles but would not drink half a bottle a week. He is a wine snob.

The Chinese head of state has stated he wants world domination by 2049, the theory is the virus was deliberately released in a way that would be of greatest impact to the rest of the world causing massive financial stress which it has, then China would step in to save us all, which it is, they sent thousands of masks and ventilators to Australia yesterday, industry is once again ramping up to full production, we have to start producing ourselves even if it is more expensive, they cannot be trusted, we buy Australian. ADE over chibeseevery time, even though it costs more. The eventual cost does not bare thinking about.

Look up the World health organisation head, and his allegiance to China. He was berating the Australian government for banning travel into here a month before the WHO announced a pandemic. Our PM took no notice of him and shut us off. Look at the figures for the countries that took notice of him, America. Italy, England. The WHO head has been is cahoots with China for many years in previous roles, and they spent heaps of money getting him elected in 2017. The information they gave out is in a large way responsible for the size of the problem, the man also in no way has any medical training.

this is a long way from over, I just hope people have a long memory.

Yeah, it is a bit spooky. Not as bad here as in Australia regarding the lockdown. Grocery stores in MA can now only have up to 60% capacity so you wait in line to get into the store. I read about a guy who was arrested for not practicing social distancing...he was at the park with his 6 year old daughter and they were the only ones there. The police ended up apologizing, but still.

Pretty much the same here. I went to the store this morning and they were tracking people going in and out to limit the

total number in the store to well below capacity. I didn't ask what the percentage of capacity limit they were enforcing is

since they obviously hadn't reached it because they let me right in. It was only 8:30 in the morning on a weekday.

At the RTJ Golf Trail they have yellow tape on the floor every 6 feet leading up to the cashiers to pay for your golf round

and they have a one person per cart policy for now. Very few try to walk these courses.

I was at a gas station with a small store today also and they were only letting 5 people at a time into the store based on

the sign they had taped onto the door.

I'm not out and about that much, as a rule, but from the small sample I am seeing it seems to me people and businesses

are taking social distancing seriously and many are now wearing dust masks when inside a store, including moi.

Yeah Vodka to each their own. I also like Gin but that is a bit expensive and only seems to come in glass bottles which is a biatch for the delivery guys (fedex). And Twelve bottles of wine a day lmao. Yeah that is some rationing....not. Used to be a big wine drinker but the tannins just were killing me. And the red tongue to boot. I used to do grocery delivery but stopped after orders were incomplete or mixed up and got sick of calling about it. I do get Organic veggies and fruit delivered 2-4 times a month depending on what I need and what they have. Excellent service. As a matter of fact am getting a six pack of big boy Vodka delivered today. They sign themselves for me, social distancing and I am an old guy, and just leave it at door. Cool.

Am watching Zombieland: Double Tap again.....and again.....and what a serious disappointment.....again. Actors just seem they are going thru the motions and although there is enough there for a really good film they just didn't find it. Ten years waiting for this. Best thing about movie is Zoey Deutch who is freaking hilarious.

Time to go wander around the house and look out the windows.

Agree 100%. Used to have a friend who was a little snobby and his drink of choice was expensive brandy, tried it a few times but never liked it. Drank beer for a while, tried red wine once in my early 20s and could not understand what the fuss was about. Eventually tried it again in my 30s and took to it, been my main drink ever since. Went into our local grog shop after Xmas with a gift voucher and asked them to recommend something and she gave me a taste of a whisky liqueur, purchased a bottle and working my way through it, excellent evening tipple. Apart from that I am into a good port and similar, I have my own cupboard which is off limits to all, so happy stay at home Grillers, I will try to keep sober enough to read and post

I am waiting to see how many false arrest law suits are going to come out when this is all over. Our County Police have been issuing warnings but the Almighty City of Myrtle Beach have been writing actual citations and are proud to state so on local media. Of course when they get sued they will get silent and cover it up. You can bet the City is using it strictly for revenue since they are not getting any Motel tax revenue

Cyndy suggested a dryve-thru for the Grylle. And maybe use a ball retryever to send the food out wyth and get the payments. That way they could styll keep so-shall dyss-dancyng...she mysses dancyng... Gus likes the idea, and says "You gals are really pretty smart, even though some smart alecks think you're just eye candy", to which she replied "Well, see, those ones that thynk my name ys Candy don't know me anyhow"...

Art has not gone well lately, lost it for some time. Put it down to the virus giving us to much to worry about.

Finished this one this morning, first productive art session for over a month. Hopefully now back into the groove.

A naughty dog painting, likes to bite doors and has just been chastised.

Yeah I have a couple issues. When Quoting someone the screen always scrolls almost to the top of the page, then have to scroll back down. Have no idea what that is about. And what is with those paper clips things. Just totally annoying IMO. And lastly you can't in the WITB section put them in the order of newest one first. It's whomever just replied. That drove me out of one of my fav. places on here.
