L,

lol, hey man by now you know I know of what I speak ;) ! in person the Voss kinda reminds me enough of the Kev Burns 705, but with a more Anser plumbers neck on it.... IMO this Voss is "different" enough and such a really special looking putter it might out shine the old Anser 2 in this Vault series... also thinking the reception of the new grip might be polarizing?!?!?

I think Ping is kicking it up a notch, especially in the putter line.

Ordered an Oslo, Platinum, Slight Arc, Blue dot, Ping Pistol 62.

Might order a Voss too, I've got so much pro shop credit I don't know what to do. Such a good problem to have right now with all this Ping stuff coming out.

To those who have hit both of them, how does the Oslo feel compared to the Anser? I think it's aluminum vs. steel, right?

T, kinda hard to compare because you got blades vs a mallets right? but fwiw neither are a bummer. in fact the Anser 2 & Voss in the 303ss have a lot of the Milled series in them IMO... well, atleast they reminded ME of my own Anser Milled.

I really liked the Bergen. it's a nice twist on the Ketsch design.

I have to try the Bergen. My putting with the Ketsch has been the best its been in years and the Bergen fits my eye even better. But the Ketsch is not getting sold.

GIR, maybe a little more "tin" feeling in the Bergen... the Ketsch always feels like a really solid block. plus I have my Ketsch all rigged up 37" with a 2.0 SuperStroke XL on it and some extra weight, so the "stock" Bergen ain't even close to what I'm used to.

"Tin" feeling on the Bergen is a perfect description. It sets up great, puts a nice on the roll and looks killer, but there is a little lacking in feedback off the face. The milling in person isn't very deep, which surprised me. He didn't have an Oslo, which I'm most interested in, so I'm very curious to give it a try to compare. If I wasn't in the market for a mallet, I'd be all over the Voss. These vault putters are very impressive and stylish.

Ok, thanks Kenny. That's the feedback I was after. I remember getting a Scotty Futura X (<---I think?) and really not liking the feel because it felt like hollow aluminum. I'm hoping that the Oslo has a more solid feel to it because it sure looks good in the pics I've seen. I might get to see them this week if the store put them out on the 25th. Fingers crossed!

Was waiting at PGA SS when they opened this morning... Picked up the Bergen in "slate" finish. I wanted the platinum finish, but they didn't have any. The slate finish is much lighter in person than shown in pictures. The PP62 grip is awesome! I will report back with on course results this weekend!

Have a iBlade and putter fitting with Ping at Carl's Golfland at the end of the week. I'll ask about the Arna when I'm there.

What did you find out?

Does Ping have some demographics that indicate that a mid mallet would only warrant a Japan only release? How do they decide this stuff?

***I just got a response back from Ping saying that they are not at liberty to discuss release dates or future product of any sort until John Solheim approves. Of course they didn't even acknowledge the Arna. Meh.****

Oslo is a great putter.... Sets up really well, doesn't move at all when on the ground, very stable, bigger than I expected but not in a bad way, good feel and puts a nice roll on the ball. I also like the new grip.... I am excited to get it onto the course and see how it does. The slate is a lot lighter than in the photos and has some blue tint to it. I originally wanted the platinum but now prefer the slate.

Saw them today. Not a fan of the Oslo, only because it has no offset. Really like the balance of the Bergen. The VOSS however, will be mine!

I'm not a mallet guy, but that might be a reason FOR ME to like it.

The Voss is definitely on the must try list for me.
