What about the Gynti or Ginty? Something like that. It was like a pre hybrid cleek type of FW wood with a large single rail running through the bottom. I think only persimmon heads too.

The diamond faced wedges were fun to mess with around the greens, especially if people didnt' know that's what you had. Rough, no rough, they stopped on a dime. Were they called "pure spin" wedges?

I would say the original Seemore Blade Style putter that Payne Stewart used to win the 99 US Open. I heard they were selling like hotcakes back then and quickly died out. I can see why, it is the most deadest feeling putter I've ever felt. I get more feel putting with a sledgehammer.

 

To be fair, Zach Johnson did win the 2015 British Open with one.

How about the E-club? Imagine a 27 degree hybrid head on a plumbers neck putter shaft. Tried it for a while and hit some ok short game shots with it - no clue where it is now...

 

My dad literally could not play golf without his E-Club. That thing comes out anywhere near the green. He is a descent player too w a 15 handicap.

My father in law had a set and really could use them. It helped that he rarely missed a fairway because out of the rough they were tricky. Great match play clubs, i always thought. Almost impossible to guess which club was being used.

I think Sonartec should be in the lineup here. Fantastic fairway woods for a decent stretch, and then poof, gone.

I would have said the Hammer driver, but they managed to follow it up with an awesome putter as well.

 

The Hammer driver only needs 1 hit... then it's over the mountain and in the damn hole!

Remember the Cubic Balance mega-hit-go drivers. No scorelines on the face but was always 20 yards short of any driver I was hitting.

Lynx Black Cat Irons-really weren't that bad irons

Maruman Titas Titan driver-I think it sold for like a thousand dollars and this was in the mid 90's

Fila Lattitude irons-completely shankless irons, the whole face was in front of the hosel

 

Also, remember the Atrigon drivers that the head and the shaft were made as one piece and were all graphite..The signed Nick Price to an endorsement deal and were never heard of again after the first year.

Wright golf and their hollow irons among other things. Signed Duffy Waldorf and maybe one other. Sure they weren't that great but many years ahead of their time with all the hollow irons now. Even had a tour version iron.
