Taking my girlfriend up to Dallas for a weekend next month and I want to surprise her and take her to a really nice restaurant. Doesn't have to be like suit and tie formal, but I'd prefer a more upscale place with really good food. Galleria area is preferred but I'm not picky! Thanks!

Chamberlains in Addison is our favorite restaurant in the entire world. It's high end, but not stuffy (no suit & tie requirements, you'll see people in jeans). But it still has the very clubby feel (dark wood, low light, etc.). The prices are very reasonable for a high end steak house. Most other places you order your steak $45+ that doesn't come with any sides. Chamberlain's filets are $35 I think for the smaller and up and they come with garlic mashed potatoes which is awesome.

So I say, go to Chamberlains, ask for your server to be Taylor (best server hands down), order the creamed corn side dish and you'll thank me. I just sent some friends there for their 19 year anniversary and gave them the same advice, and they are now Chamberlain's converts.

I wouldn't say Chamberlain's is my favorite restaurant anywhere, but it's in my top 3 Dallas steakhouses (along with Nick & Sam's, and Pappas Bros.) and I agree it's the best restaurant in the Addison area.

My Top 3 in Dallas:

1. Nick & Sam's

2. Bob's

3. Chamberlain's

Married to Callaway Clubs but I cheat with Nike Clubs on occasion.

Galleria is north near addison. Which has more restaurants per square mile than anywhere in the state.

New spot in addison is Ida Claire off belt line. pretty good food. Casual, southern cooking (i recommend the spicy fried chicken) and really good mixed drinks. Kind of a modern hipstery vibe to the place. Not overly pricey either.

If you want a nicer meal i always recommend Houston's off belt line. Nothing super "out of the ordinary" but they always have great food and service. I recommend the hawaiian ribeye there.

If you want mexican food - there is Uncle julios a little further north. Best fajitas and margaitas around.

Sign up for Chamberlain's email. They send out promo's all the time. You get half off your tab on your birthday and they discount all the time for holidays and weekdays.

Sushi - Teppo on lower greenville (my fav spot)

Steak - Any of the above mentioned will be good

Italian - Nona

American modern - FT 33 in design district

Seafood - Truluck's off McKinney ave/ Ocean prime

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
