Who else loves the Spieth pressed today ? He sure cut that reporter off at the knees wit his " you are putting words in my mouth sir ". lol. And then comments on the " professionals " seeking autographs while squashing a kid. " we don't like to sigh for them anyway " . I find him to be more and more like Phil Anne it comes to press conferences. Polite but unapologetic.

I disagree, I dont think DJ has the mental game for Oakmont. He may be the leader at some point but I just dont think he can get it done.

Sounds pretty interesting! Coverage over here so far has been pretty scant with Euro 2016 taking over most sports news. You wouldn't happen to have a link to this would you?

When Spieth popped up out of nowhere at the range at Bridgestone last year he had no problem telling the ebay hawks who came running that he was only signing for kids.

Agree. Spieth. If he can stay focused, he is the toughest mentally.

If Spieth can keep from spraying it all over with his tee shots, then his confidence with the irons seems to follow. That could be his chance. Jason Day is just so dominant since basically the latter part of last year, that I feel it could be a big week for him. Not much hope for Rory or Dj from me. Enjoy the tournament guys!

Jason is firing on all cylinders, and his desire for greatness is very high. I just see him being a force this week.

If Day starts spraying drives he won't win. A better than average driving week and he is well in contention. Maybe the driving iron will be in effect.

Just checked the weather. Looks like rain coming down all week until Friday morning. A high near 85 through the weekend with clear skies. Those country club greens will probably be perfect.

 

I have a feeling this is gonna be an awesome USO. I sure hope I'm right. They need to make up for the embarrassment at Chambers Bay last year.
