Fourth of July Golf on the Cape

Planning to be on Cape for the 4th, and wondering if anyone has a suggestions (or looking for a 3rd+4th or just 4th) to play. Probably Saturday or Sunday. I'm playing to a 10 handicap if it matters and would love to see something new. I will be in the Falmouth area.

Falmouth CC isn't too bad. But my favorites are out a little further on the Cape - Captains in Brewster, Cranberry Valley in Harwich and Bayberry Hills in Yarmouth. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks! Have played Falmouth and Cranberry Valley. I think I found someone to take me out on Eastward Ho (crossing my fingers, pretty psyched to play there)

Looks like my Eastward Ho! connection may have fallen through. Haven't heard back from him since he agreed to it. Booked Bayberry Hills as a backup on your suggestion. Thanks!

Olde Barney is in great shape. Its my home course and I recommend it. The sister Barnstable course is Hyannis and is a very different topography. Lots of hills where as Olde Barney is relatively flat. Enjoy the Cape.

Have fun you'll enjoy the layout. And if in the area it's usually a good bet finding Brian Silva designed courses like BH too - always a great track. Even if you can't get on Eastward Ho it's worth just driving up by the clubhouse. They have some of the best scenery looking down towards to ocean even just from the road - worth the drive.

Olde Barney is in great shape. Its my home course and I recommend it. The sister Barnstable course is Hyannis and is a very different topography. Lots of hills where as Olde Barney is relatively flat. Enjoy the Cape.

I played olde barney on Saturday morning at 6:00am, place remains one of the best kept muni's I've ever had the fortune of playing. Great walking place, finished in 3:40. Love that place. Hyannis is fine, harder course, but not nearly in the condition that its sister is (to the Hyannis grounds crew defense, it's a more difficult course to maintain)

Likewise - although likely easier for me to play there than you living in Cincy. In the last 3 weeks I've received last minute invites to both Eastward Ho! and Hyannisport and could not make either of them. I try to never say no to a golf invite, particularly to these two gems I've never played (that way, they'll come more frequently...)

It's definitely possible - my best friend used to live out there so they visit fairly often. If so it would be August or September but I'm always up to play with a wrx'er
