It will be a costly PITA to fix. You need to remove the front and back inserts, TIG weld the stub, refinish the head, and replace the inserts. Welding with the inserts in place will damage them.

 

Conclusion: Paperweight.

Either remove the inserts (not difficult to do) and weld the hosel back on or chop the hosel off and bore the head out to accept a shaft. Tom Slighter can do either if you don't know anyone that can.

The above options are both feasible, but the bronze finish will have to go, so it all boils down to what you're willing to spend.

That would be my approach, unless the only way to get the desired 65 degree lie is to pursue the repairs (welding) or customizations (boring the head) suggested above. Removing the existing stub and boring the head will result in weight loss that will need to be replaced with lead or tungsten powder within the shaft tip.

I doubt there's going to be any surgery. If anything, they're going to send you a new putter. There's no earthly reason to repair a putter that cheap to replace.

How does how much a putter cost to make have anything to do with how much it's worth? I'm 99.9999% sure all those $1000+ Scotty Circle T putters don't cost Scotty $700 to make.

Is the putter at your desired lie angle? If it is, one option would be to just fill the break with JB weld. It's not a perfect fix, wouldn't look that pretty and will add weight but it's the quickest fix. It would make the putter somewhat functional.

Bronze

No alignment lines

Double bend

 

Retail 330's are plumbers neck.

 

If Odyssey doesn't give it to the tour van pull the insert and Tig weld it send it off and turn it into a flow neck, double bend or I'll buy it for a fair price :)

2. This putter is a super rare Odyssey tour issued putter. It has a butane finish, the original White Hot insert with the tour only black swirl. I have never seen another one of these heads with an shaft over hosel stub. This has no sightlines, and a sight dot.

 

3.) The cost of manufacturing a putter is much greater than $15. An initial putter run is very expensive and the cost per head goes down as you make them. This putter is so rare, that it can be argued that this putter actually cost way more to make than a standard odyssey putter.

 

4.) Not everyone has an eye for the rare and unique, and thats ok, everyone is different. If someone shows me a suped up Ford Mustang, who cares, its just a Mustang to me. Might be cool to someone else, but Ford is a worthless brand to me, but thanks for buying American. Id rather drive a Vette. Rolex and Timex both tell you the time, but one is way better and if you dont recognize that, then you are a fool and theres no helping you.

True statement. Actual cost to produce doesnt compare with market value.

They love their putters to a point that puts the other companies to shame. I have never received the level of attention and helpfulness that Odyssey has provided to me over the last two years from any other OEM. They go above and beyond to take care of their most loyal customers.
