Quick question - How do you mark a double eagle on the scorecard?

I spill some very old single malt scotch on the card, dry it out, get it framed and put it in my man cave next to my hole in 1 ball

Lucky. I was so bad at the whole negative numbers thing in school that I have to write it down, especially when it's double digits negative.

Screw the scorecard.

I have the golf club install a plaque in the spot on the fairway where I holed out from each time.

 

Sure sure, after a while that fairway starts to look like a cobbled street in Bruges and other players start to complain about having to take free drops to play their 3rd shots (3rd pfft), but screw 'em.

Do you guys ever start feeling bad about the amount by which you're out-driving your playing partners? I mean, it's a social game, right? I'm just worried my buddies will get down on themselves by constantly having to see the sizable gap between our shots. It's not like you can hide it as they're standing at their ball and right between them and the hole, off in the distance, is my drive just sitting there seemingly mocking them.

It's also really lonely, right? Being so far past them. Having to walk all that way ahead of them to get to your drive.

Etiquette question - Even though I usually have the honor, my group usually makes me tee off last on par 3s, as they complain about my balls being so close to the hole it might get in the way of their hole in one attempts. Does anyone else have this problem?

Etiquette question - Even though I usually have the honor, my group usually makes me tee off last on par 3s, as they complain about my balls being so close to the hole it might get in the way of their hole in one attempts. Does anyone else have this problem?

 

Ah yes! The way I handle it is to hit my tee shots on par 3s two feet past the hole and then spin them off the front of the green and onto the fringe.

 

That way I do not get in the way of my playing partner's attempts and also have seen the line of the putt as the ball spins back. Then it's a simple putt up that line for a birdie... usually. Sure it hurts my GIR stats, but it's all about the score so who cares right.

I never feel bad, I mock in those situations

 

Last weekend I lasered my two guys and yelled back "Hey HomBomb and JonesScott ..., you hear about the new Tim Horton's going in?"

I follow up with "yup, right between my drive and yours you pathetic popcorn hitters"

Ohhhh, you mean an albatross?? I find that by the 3rd eagle, I don't have to worry about it (usually just after the turn)

They stopped complaining when my solution was to just knock the ball in the hole so it wasn't in their way... I told them before I started doing that to be careful what they wished for, but they didn't listen. Of course now when we get to the green I am the one stuck tending the pin which kinda s#cks.

I am not one for humblebrags because I like to get along with people. In fact usually when I play with others I tee off with my 5 iron so we can all continue our conversations in the fairway. Golf is a social game after all.

Have you guys noticed that after about 11 or 12 rounds, Pro V's tend to look slightly yellow?

My clubs have a nickel sized rust mark in the middle of the face and I'm really concerned it may be affecting my spin rates

You should probably stop fishing them out of the lake each time and start playing a cheaper ball until you get better ;)

Have you guys ever had this issue with drivable par 4s? I always find it awkward when i hit my tee ball to 15 feet, and having to walk back and help my playing partners find their balls in the heather. #humblebrag
