I used to have an awesome Nike T60 that few like the dickens. Had a great sound to it as well. Should have kept it.

actually i was actually thinking of buying a r15 5wood hl. What do you think about that.

R15 5HL 's degree is 21. So if you change it's loft to 19 degree, it will change the face to open. It is known for not forgiving wood. Areoburner 5HL is better. you should hit it at range before buying it to be sure that it fit your game.

I love my Callaway X2 Hot Deep 18.5 wood and it's shaft. It is great for tee off and off the fairways. The shaft weights 75 grams and helps my swing tempo.

I have the R15 5HL in the bag. I am admittedly a terrible FW player and this 5HL is easy to elevate. Have it paired with a VTS Silver 7s and lofted down to 20.5deg and its probably my favorite club in the bag right now

Callaway ERC Fusion 5 wood was crazy long for me. Finally, replaced it with the Adams Speedline Super LS. Carry distance is about the same but the LS is a much more forgiving club.

I haven't played a 5 wood consistently for years. When I did, it was a Callaway Steelhead Plus with an Aldila HM2000 shaft. That was a phenomenal club, but left a pretty big gap between that and my 3 iron.

2008 Callaway X 5-fairway wood. Bought it used, had it now about 5-6 years. It's my driver replacement. I tee it low and never over-swing; it's guaranteed to split the fairway for at least 240 yards. Great solid sound to it. Acquired a Titleist 915H 2-hybrid at 18 degrees this year, and it just edges the Cally, but is a little more finicky if it's not a center of the face hit (still learning...). Best $45 I ever spent for my long game.

Ok two catagories for me since I have been playing forever it seems

 

Persimmon _ Macgregor Tourney Custom 5 wood 21* loft like the modern 7 wood

 

Metal V-steel 18* thought nothing could do better than that until I bought a bunch of clubs at an estate sale. There was an Adams GT Tight Lies 5 wood in that bunch appeared to have never been hit. One of the ugliest clubs I have seen since a VAS. Sat good so I took a whack with it man oh man does it fly> It is in the bag now I named it the "ugly duckling" But before anyone asks none of my V-Steels are for sale .

Seems like no matter what other 18 degree club I buy it stares at me in the basement with wanting eyes.

Darn good one too. I actually built one for me with a Diamana 60 and it did not work out like I wanted but my running buddy Bo Bear can literally cook it. Guess whose bag it is in now? Love those old Cally Steelhead and S2H2 heads was never a Memphis 10 fan though
