Traverse city in September

I have three days and free mornings (till 3pm each day) in northern Michigan. I dont mind traveling a bit or cost to play great courses. I love Arcadia and Forest Dunes (have played both, but wouldnt mind playing again). I have seen some other threads but have a few unanswered questions:

 

Is it still possible to get on Kingsley as a single if I have my home club call?

I am used to playing in mid summer. What can I expect weather wise the week after Labor day (abt sept 7th)

If Kingsley is not possible what course within an hour and a half do I add to Arcadia and FD?

Leelanau Club was pretty nice, as was Lochenheath. You couldnalso play Grand Traverse aresort courses. I bet it can get chilly up there in September, especially at night.

It could be anywhere from sock hat and rain suit to shorts and sun screen. Best to check the weather forecast a few days prior to your trip. It is not going to be snowing.

I am up in that area almost every Labor Day and it's normally beautiful. A bit brisk in the morning (mid 50's) but super nice. I think it basically washed out one full weekend a couple of years ago but beyond that it's normally my favorite time of year up there. The stocking cap and gloves super sketchy weather is typically later in September and early October. I've found Labor Day to be fairly safe.

Weather-wise you'll probably get anything from highs in the 60s to 80s mid to late September, it's later September and October where it begins to turn and you can get 40s and 50s depending on the fronts coming through. Been on the wrong end of a few too many of those in early October.
