I'm still trying to figure out how their trade in works. I've only done it with Callaway Preowned and you just have to add the clubs during checkout there and you have 30 days to send them in. Seems like you have to trade your clubs in first with GG...but unlike most WRXers I don't have a second bag with more irons to play so that doesn't really work for me.

OP, I bought a set also. I would like to know how your clubs were packaged once you receive them. Mine were shipped unprotected with no paper, bubble wrap, or foam. At a minimum, they could have put some rubber bands on the set so they don't bang against each other during shipping. Several clubs had good size dents which are bigger than normal bag chatter. This was the first time I ordered from global golf and was disappointed. I have ordered several used clubs from callaway preowned and they were shipped very well protected. Overall, the clubs were not bad. I am sure the clubs were in better condition before they were shipped.

i ordered a brand new set 3 weeks ago and they sent them the same way. they told me they would pay return shipping, but they didnt have another set to send me. i just kept them, because the price was good, but i wasn't thrilled.

Got some RSI TP's from them and the badges were all dented to crap, almost to the point where it would have just looked better to de-badge them. Another thing that annoys me about these guys (not so much affecting anyone else who doesn't live in NC) is i always pay for GROUND shipping over economy shipping. EVERY single time they send it fed-ex smart post (which is their economy shipping), even though i PAID for ground. Instead of getting here in 2-days (or heck even 1 day since i live in Charlotte), it takes 5-6 days because the post office has to play merry-go-round with the stuff. I've brought this up to their CS MULTIPLE times, and they tell me if i want a refund to return the item. They don't even bother to offer to refund me the difference in price between shipping methods.

Same here, I've only ever ordered 1 or 2 clubs at a time from them but they've came well packaged with bubble wrap over the head of the club. Hopefully the full iron set is packaged similar.

Wow, from all the responses from you guys, this is a very common shipping method for them which is ridiculous especially if you purchased a new set. If you think about it, this is a very stupid problem to have with a company. How much does it cost to put in some foam wrap to protect the clubs and make the customers happy? I emailed customer service and will see what they say.

I have ordered and traded multiple times with Global with great success. However, cally preowned I have had multiple issues with...so to each his own. This year I bought three wedges came packed proper with protected heads and shafts. I do however carefully select and read what they deem a certain level of used and expect some wear when I get them. Otherwise, they are surely right...send them back and wash your hands of it.

The last few items I've ordered from GG/3balls have all come just loose in the box with no protection, woods and irons. Absolutely terrible packaging. As two of the previous posters said, I always pick ground shipping to get them faster, but they ALWAYS send it economy no matter what and that takes an extra 1-3 days depending on if the fedex guys/post office guys are feeling that day. On top of that, it takes them any where from 1-3 business days to ship the item. Once they even cancelled my order without telling me for no reason. When I call them regarding these issues, the customer service reps are unapologetic about it, almost a "take it or leave it" attitude. They have really gone down hill since the merger. It's a real shame, I actually liked each of the companies before and have ordered a bunch of stuff from them.

It says service as FedEx Home Delivery so I'm hoping they don't pass them off to USPS to deliver as I've had some bad luck with them lately.

If it says Fedex Home Delivery, then you got the Ground service that you paid for, not Fedex smartpost, no USPS involved. The problem with it is even if you upgrade to Ground, you won't know what service they use to ship until the label is created. And undoubtedly, they always use the Economy (smartpost) even though I paid for Ground. When I call them, they tell me it's too late, it's been "shipped out" even though it won't be in Fedex possession for maybe a few days more.

I took the plunge on a set of 714 AP2's this weekend, cheapest I had seen them so now just hoping their "very good" is the same as my "very good"! :)
