Kirkland Signature (Costco) golf balls (MERGED) (NO BST POSTS)

anybody tried these balls with a new irons...just hit the 4-piece with my brand new 965s and its chewing the cover. never had issues with my pxgs, miuras and ap2s though...maybe its just the grooves of the 965s? anyway i got another 8 dz of the 4-piece so i have 23 dz and 2 sleeves total lol

By the way, I love your signature. High end equipment with a highly sought after putter. You are not afraid to invest in your equipment. And then, the K-Sig mixed in with it. It speaks volumes to the quality of the balls. Folks who have no issue paying for performance playing a Costco branded golf ball. If it were inferior, many here would have no issues playing something for 2X the price or more.

FYI...the balls are not going to be in stores...online only.

I am curious as to the availability of the 3 core ball though. I'm hoping it is a more consistent staple. I was holding out hope that they learned from the first model and would contract a much higher amount to keep supplies a little more consistent.

Last year we (they) basically closed out production twice. Maybe the fad is over but there are still balls in stock. Don't think that necessarily means they'll be consistently available though.

It's been fairly well noted that the covers on these don't hold up that great. I haven't had the single hit scratch experience, but the ones that have gone 12+ holes definitely start to show some wear. If it helps at all I have New p790's and new Clevland rtx 2.0 wedges this year and this has been my experience over the past couple months.

Right. Only time will tell. As with the original, I am assuming the 3 piece ball is just a rebranded version of another company's model. Whether or not it's Nassau is yet to be determined. I would imagine a company like that has their own priorities in mind when it comes to manufacturing this ball. If it doesn't fit in their own production schedule, it probably won't happen.

I've found the covers to be very impressive considering how soft they are. If you compare them to a non-urathane cover, of course they will lose, but compared to the old taylormade lethals and others, they've lasted much longer without scuffs or signs of wear for me.

I love 'em. If I was a pro, I'd sponsor Kirkland for free golf balls, Irish whiskey and rotisserie chickens.

ksig is a great name for the 4 piece but what to call the 3 piece? ksig3??

This is a great problem that will challenge mankind. Or this forum. We need a poll.

K-trace

K-trip

Tray-kay's

KSig = 4 piece

KSi = 3 piece

i was going to order some. but i still have the 4 dozen from the previous release, plus 2 dozen snells, a dozen, prov1xs. a dozen titleist AMT, a dozen Chrome soft, a sleeve left of vice pro plus's and a dozen bridgestones. not sure what they are.... and a bag full of randoms, including taylormade project (a)s, snells, cally, titleist, and crappy balls i have found.....

so yeah, i will pass.

Last year, I found the cover to last as long as ProV's from a few years back. At one point, they seemed to scuff and cut from just looking at them funny. The Ksig didn't seem that bad, but they definitely scuffed more than the Chrome Soft or the Z Star that I played last year. For the price, I was willing to sacrifice a little durability.

IMO,

Ksig4 against ProV1/V1x with cast urethane cover

Ksig3 against Chrome Soft with Thermo-urethane cover

Today was a shot at everyone. If they can find a way to stock the balls and the K3 performs like the KSig they have a Urethane ball to compete with all the major and minor players Tour and Premium balls at the price of something a guy playing in a couple of scrambles per year is comfortable with.
