My understanding is that it wasn't so much the cover, but a flaw in the process that caused some portion of the covers not to adhere properly. Many balls don't have the issue and those have received rave reviews. It should just be a matter of correcting whatever error occurred in the bad batch.

Have you heard what changes have been made? As Storm mentioned if they reduced spin it would be a welcome change.

Anyone know if the caddytek range finders are available in store or online only?

Never saw them in store. I bought mine online when on sale. Works just as well as any more expensive range finder for much less $.

I have only ever seen it online. Awesome range finder and not just for the money. When mine breaks or gets lost I will for sure buy another.

A couple times a year they go down to $99.

I think I originally bought mine on amazon several years ago. Still works great. I think Costco sells them and IIRC it is NOT a member's only item.

As many of you know, Costco's magazine has a blurb regarding their putters and their June release date. There is also a blurb regarding their 3 piece ball, but nothing about a 4 piece ball. Sadly, I don't think we'll be seeing the return of a 4 piece ball this year.

Kirkland loses a little ball speed on driver but performs fine with wedges and mid irons. Like most shot in the dark tour ball no name the cover isnt super durable but most guys lose them before it's an issue.

I've seen plenty of reports and videos of the 4 piece balls having more ball speed than pro v' s.. I'll try to dig em up and repost here

I'm not really sure how relevant that is anymore given that the original 4-piece ball is essentially extinct. The 3-piece has been showing a trend of lower ball speeds and higher spin off the tee vs the typical multilayer urethane offering from the big OEMs that produce their own balls. Still better than any 2-piece ionomer covered ball IMHO.

For $25 for 2 dozen I agree it somewhat takes the cheap surlyn balls out of consideration.

The 3 piece is fairly middle of the pack with ballspeed, about on par with the ZStar, and about 1 mph behind the top stuff (TP5x, MTB-X, etc). I think the spin is what knocks it down. If you're lower trajectory or lower spin off the tee, it won't hurt you, and could help. HIgher trajectory and/or higher spin. not so much.

But they're amazing in short game. I had a 15 yd pitch from the rough give me the velcro landing last weekend, using a 58* wedge.

Just tried the 3 piece. As most are saying, it's not a longer ball, and probably a few yards shorter in fact. It does excel in spin though, although I think it's due to the super soft cover. I still game modified box groove wedges, and they are peeling the skin off of these balls. For the price, it's a good choice for the average player.

I see the 3-piece ball is out of stock online, but available in my local warehouse (Acworth, GA). Does that mean the updated 3-piece ball is about to drop?

can anyone kindly give me a tl;dr on the original ksig 4-piece ball? i found a few boxes during a garage cleaning and am wondering if they're still good for play. for reference, i normally play the tp5x and loaded up on the 2018 version when they went on sale. thanks!

A lot of people considered it a premium ball, even better than the ProV1. For a wile they were going on Ebay for over $50 a dozen so there was definitely some love out there for them.
