Isn't there a obvious middle ground here with the fact that inconsistency comes with cheap prices, so while one person may get a box that is incredibly highly durable, someone else may get a box that is trash under the same label? Is it that hard to comprehend for some people?????

Totally possible I got a bad batch of V2.0 3 pieces, but these dudes over here are trying to defend Costco/Kirkland like it’s their own families small business. They are cheap golf balls, they aren’t going to be perfect. Accusing someone of working for a ball company because of them not liking Kirkland golf balls is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in a long time. Small brain activity, I truly don’t get it.

Nobody is talking about the immediately discontinued 4 piece either. So idk where people are mixing that up. Didn’t think I’d find Costco gatekeepers on a golf forum.

If they had 50/54/58 I would have some to try out. In the modern days of 46 deg PW being almost the standard, 52/56/60 is a little outdated IMO.

You could get the wedges and bend them for a lot less than 3 of the correct lofts from a major oem I bet. 2degrees strong too much to bend? I really have no idea.

I believe that starts messing with the bounce of the wedge when you're talking 2+ degs.

Ah. Didn’t think about that 😀, I wouldn’t know.

Also, assuming these are cast which aren't always the most bendable.

2 degrees is all you really ever want to move a club. Depending on which direction you go, the bounce will be impacted equally. Offset will be impacted slightly, but not enough to matter.

I almost wish I wasn't happy with the wedges I have....

I just got a new set of Sim2 irons.  The AW is 49* so the gapping is perfect in my situation.  They feel so buttery when you hit them.  Last time I played I pulled back a TP5 on a 56* 50 yrd pitch to a raised flat green.  I NEVER PULL BACK SHOTS.  The contact felt soooo nice.  I'm a 16 hcp so pulling back pitches are new to me.

Played a round with the Kirkland 3 piece V2 today. This ball is after 17 holes, (first hole drove through a dogleg and into water, yay Ping 425 LST!!) As you can see, some very light scuffing, not any worse than the Snell MTB, Srixon XV or Pro V1's I usually play. This ball hit a cart path and some light contact with a few trees. A couple of sand shots. Played pretty nice on a cold, light drizzle at times and windy day. Very durable covers as far as I'm concerned.

Question on the Costco returns...

I lost three Kirkland balls on my last 9 hole round. Obviously the balls are no good.

Can I return 21 balls for a full refund of the purchase price of 24???

(Yes, it's a joke.)

on a serious note, this is much better than people returning Christmas trees on Dec 26th. UGH!

Question:  My daughter's boyfriend (trying to kiss up) gave me a double dozen 3pc V1 this past fall.  Did you find the V1, other than durability, had any loss of distance on driver (significant like more than 5 yards).  Just wondering if it's worth gaming them this spring just to use them up.  My Sunday mens league plays on a coastal links course w/plenty of water if you get my drift.

I think the 3 piece, both V1 and V2 may be just a couple of yards shorter than the OG 4 piece and Snell MTB-X, but nothing that'll really hamper you. If you're close to a Costco, you can go in and exchange the V1 for the V2 with no problem.  The guys I played with yesterday play the ProV1 and the new Callaway Chrome soft X, and we were all within a few yards of each other on most holes. Best ball you can get for a buck a piece, no doubt, but then again, I'm a weirdo I guess.

My only issue with the V1 was it ballooned on me when hitting short irons into the green.  The driver distance was fine for me, but others have complained.  I'd say if you're a high spin player, you'll probably hit it short with your driver.  With that said, you can trade them in for the V2's.

no problem, I had a box with a sleeve gone, and I exchanged it for a box of the V2. Costco is the best for returns.

I read your post and then went over to their site and you are absolutely correct.  That's quite a jump.

I've heard that there is going to be a cabretta leather shortage due to the pandemic for some reason.    So we might see prices go up across the board.
