Good catch, they are silent on the shaft. The Gen4 X is PXG's lowest spinning head. However, if they used the Diamana S+, it could impact the spin greatly. Personally for me, it's a wet noodle and I have to go heavier weight and higher flex to even get it close to good numbers. I took it out of my X and put in play a GD AD BB and the driver performs outstanding for me. I would put more value in a TXG review over MGS.

So...... After all the hype from the US I finally got to hit a Kirkland. The 2021 model. What is the appeal? Very soft and short off the tee.

That's what I was wondering too. They should've set it to a slightly positive AOA, as most better players are hitting up on the ball to reduce spin. 3000 rpm is crazy high for a driver going 115 mph

This is why you take ANY testing like this with a grain of salt.  Like I've said, I've hit some of my longest drives this year with the Kirkland and had some of my lower scores.  For me, it performs fantastic.

And BTW, I went back to 2016-2018 in this thread and read all the commentary on the Ksig 3.1  There were ALOT of positives being thrown around in here by many of the same people.  The 3.1 WAS NOT A BAD BALL at all.  I didn't play it much but, the two sleeves I played I didn't really notice a distance loss but it was a small sampling.  I have 1.5 dozen left.  There are a few courses that are not long but are dog leg monsters with tight protected greens and alot of water.  Tailor made for the Ksig 3.1.  😃😃

The first 3pc was rock hard and tended to underperform into the wind...The V2 is a better 3pc offering and performs decent for a budget ball...Neither is a long term gamer for me, but for some it is...The hype was driven by the OG K-Sig 4pc, with a lot of hope they can deliver a long term replacement at some point...Time will tell...

I’m not a big fan of the 3.1. But I’m value conscious so I’ll play it over other premium balls. However, that being said, 3.1 was a spin monster. 3.2 is better for me, although there are plenty of balls I’d play before the 3.2 of price were no object.

Shaft ain't changing spin more than ±100 rpms.

Me too.  My Sunday group home course is a bay front links course with a lot of water, marsh and streams that cut the course with a few ponds thrown in for good measure.  I love the TP5 and Tour Response.  My limit for lost premium expensive balls is 1 or 2.  If I'm not swinging particularly well, out come the Ksigs, Diablo Tour, etc.

Went through my local Costco today and there were tons of balls, wedges, and putters but not a single glove to be found.

Just because it’s fun to update (and not because it holds prophetic meaning about the future return of the vaunted 4-piece), but the Tulsa Costco had a full pallet of 3.2s.  This was a restock, because several weeks ago there down to about two layers of boxes on a half pallet. 😀

Before leaving to hawaii, a good supply in portland of the 3.2, gloves, putters, wedges. Got to hawaii, visited costco for gas and stopped in. They also had a good supply of all four.

Tucson Costco (grant location) has been consistently carrying a healthy stock of all Costco golf gear. They always seem to have a supply of balls, gloves, wedges and putters. 

 

Since I'm back in college and not left with the disposable income I've once had, I'm trying out the Costco balls and gloves. Love the gloves, still not 100% on the ball.

 

My gamer is usually Snell MTB-X, but I've been playing around with the KSigs. It's all anecdotal, and I have no launch monitor data to back this up, but it appears the Costco ball is a bit shorter and more spinny then the Snell. However you can't beat the price, and it's not as if it's really effecting my amateur golf game anyways.

In response to your comment in the last part of the post, I think this is a valid feeling. The one place I think I could see the "excessive" spin being an issue with the Ksig is if you battle a slice/hook and theoretically this could exaggerate it? I actually just picked up a dozen of the ProV1X Left Dash balls to see if I see less left to right movement on my drives than I normally do. 

My swing isn't consistent enough to know if my ball came up short because the ball had too much spin vs contact just not being great. If I start slicing my drives "less" than normal then I might be a lot more inclined to stop using the Ksig.

I think the issue is too much backspin which leads to shorter shots especially with driver.

IIRC, the one from online comes with an extra glove for some reason.

Used the version 2 three piece yesterday, seems pretty decent. Was able to stick pretty good spin wise on the green.

Played my first round with the Pro V1 left dash and holy **** is there a major feel and performance difference between the 2 balls. I know they are on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as how they are supposed to perform and feel but I was shocked at how big of a difference there actually was and how much I could tell a performance difference. Before that round, I don't think I could ever really tell much of a difference between balls whether they were 2/3 piece or much performance difference. The left dash was hard, clicky, and did not spin worth a darn compared to the KS 3.2

I'm actually surprised I feel this way but I think I like KS 3.2 more.
