Still using my Maxflis. I have both the fats and thins right now, so it really doesn't matter what I use.

My 845s...Had them originally 14 years ago but stupidly sold them..went through a few sets and bought my current gamers 3 years ago for $100 CDN for a 1-SW. I'm in love again. I did find and buy a 6 iron Callway X-14 and a 7 iron TM RAC OS (2005) and hit them for shitz and giggles and realized the feel of those irons still don't compare to my tried and true 845s :slow_en: .

Is that a mix of blue and black dot?

Yes. I found the wedges after I got the matching iron set. I prefer the + model sole shape and I got the (rare) +no+ SW and L from a buddy. I can't tell the diff in the 1* of lie angle.

Everyone on WRX can't be an iron ho! What older sticks you gaming?

I did until yesterday! Gamed my 08 Tour Burners I had fitted at the Kingdom way back when but just got the Apex CF16 after a fitting when I hit it a club further with very tight dispersion. Time to switch

I have the 845s Oversize Plus's. Not exactly sure what year but yeah at least 10 years old irons. Recently picked up and in the bag for now.

Jury is still out on them though! I am not sure they will stay in the bag for next year but since this season is coming closer to the end, they are safe for now! I think I need the smaller version!

Will a set of Mizzy MP30 with KBS still good enough? Somebody is offering me a 3-PW set for $100.

I game my treasured 690MB that are all original, no browning/rusting/loss of chrome. I did swap it with other iron sets, all of which are now sold. Just got the Vapor Pros to keep my 690s fresh on ice, though I still play them a few rounds a year.

Not irons but my 47/60 wedges are Macgregor forged tourney from the late 90s/early 00s. The 60 has no grooves left as I use it in bunkers, but it still plays great. I just can't bring myself to play anything else.

I bet that 60 will still stop a ball out of a bunker too!! A lot of people do not know that either and you will get some heated arguement over that. My friend played the same Cleveland 588 60* for close to 20 years and it was so worn out the face was concave but it would still stop a ball from a bunker

They were released in 2002. I would know since I own a set as well and saw them on the racks at my local Golftown around that time. Nice clubs. Out of my iron stash their grooves are by far the sharpest and deepest. My PW from that set still shreds range balls till this day.

I once read that Fred Couples had the same wedge for over 20 years. I treat wedges like putters, especially your around the greens wedge. All about feel. Once you get one you like, keep it.

Gamed the Callaway X-Tour for about 10 years. Bought a new set this year and haven't noticed much of an improvement. Ball striking is ball striking I suppose.

Currently using 4-PW Armour EVO V-31s with the Tri-gold shafts. I used to love hitting these things but they seem about 10 yards shorter than anything new I hit into a launch monitor, even though the lofts aren't much weaker. Still think they look great in the bag though. Also have a real nice set of Hogan Apex Edge 2-PW that feel great but the #4 shaft seems too heavy and stiff for me so they sit in the spare bag.

I think he did say something about getting the grooves redone a couple times, but most pros go through wedges quicker than any other clubs.
