Let's end the debate: McCord or Miller?

I lost all respect for Miller when he was calling the Open Championship this year and refused to say anything great about Stenson's round, being that it was obviously better than his infamous 63 which we are constantly reminded of. That final 63 of Stenson's is probably the greatest final round in a major ever. LAME! I think he needs to go.

I would watch McCord. Miller gives me the impression that he is a pretentious narcissist. No one can do it right, no one has the right strategy for the course, no one has the right mechanics, no one is hitting the right shot, it does not end with him.

McCord isn't honest at all when talking about the players, especially when they hit a bad shot. All he wants to do is walk the line and not ruffle anyone's feathers.

Miller all day long for me, more knowledgeable about the shots and tournaments. McCord seems to be out there on a non-stop network induced failed attempt at humor. Now, if I could just stop hearing about Johnny's 63 at Oakmont, from Johnny himself.

I'll pick McCord. He might be a little off with his humour, but I could sit down and listen to him. Miller, I would likely want to throttle him after 5 minutes of him and me in the same room.

One person I would love to NEVER hear again on the air is Johnny Miller. Johnny loves him some Johnny. Hey I get it you shot 63 in the final round to win a major. Get over yourself, you arent the greatest thing since sliced bread. Plus super negative. Just my 2 cents.

I'd go Miller. I don't mind him all that much, sure he's a bit negative and self absorbed but he also speaks the things others are too proper or too afraid to. McCord's shtick has gotten old IMO. It used to be funny and entertaining but now he's just trying too hard to be noticed like Feherty is.

I have always liked Johnny Miller. He played the game at the highest level. He does his homework in the booth. If you listen closely, he'll throw something out that you can take to the course and play better with. NBC golf is far and away the best on air.

 

McCord, along with Nance, Faldo, and Kostis are the guys I have to tune out when I watch golf. The new Fox team is already better than the CBS crew, especially now that they have Azinger.

Miller by a mile

 

I've met him a few times starting when I was a junior watching the Cdn Open. Laid back and approachable, great sense of humor

 

And had a lesson from him at a trade show about 12 years back. Chatted for quite a bit afterwards

 

He's not the ego with the brazen delivery you see on TV at times.

 

He's a great and humble man in person. Who knows, McCord may be as well
