King Cobra 3100 I/h irons

Hi there, started playing golf this summer and my clubs my old man had are starting to wear away now so I need a new set of clubs. I've seen these King cobra 3100 I/h irons (4-PW) for £50 which seems a good price but not knowing what they are like I want to double check. If anyone has any reviews on them especially for a high handicapper that would be great. Cheers

I have a set of them myself (Although I don't play them anymore, I'm a bit of a budget club ho). They're a decent, cast, SGI club. They've held up really well not a lot of chatter and the faces still look good. The weight inserts tend to fall out easily. I would pay that price for them.

I had a set many moons ago and like them. I have a buddy that is a very good golfer that still plays them as his irons. He has no intentions of buying a new set til these literally fall apart beyond fixing!

I played a set for years. Solid irons. Solid feel, plenty of forgiveness for the mid-high capper. They just went straight. Clunky, but not massive, decent looking. Cast from some form of 431 stainless steel that's virtually indestructible. Round upon round, bag chatter, it didn't matter. I don't know what process with which they heat treated them but they looked like they had less than a season on them after five. You can hit rocks with those things. Good price, good sticks. You won't be disappointed.

Well you guys have sold it to me, the seller was getting rid of a vokey 60 degree with the set for free so couldn't say no. Hopefully I like them! Thanks guys

Quality set of game improvement irons. Did you get the Nippon steel shafts in them? That was what I liked the most about them when I had mine.

That's the set I'm taking to Scotland next week...it's my travel set, backing up my SS-i irons (the SS-i have a thinner top line and narrower, flatter sole)

....as has been said, a quality set of irons with a number of different shafts varying in weight, flex, kick point....in graphite and steel.

I'll let you know in a month if they work as well off Scotland's sandy turf as they do off Florida's sandy turf.
