      • I have spent the last 2 years completely rebuilding my golf swing with local teacher(Don't want to advertise, suffice to say he is on Golf Digest list of best in New York State) from a "golf machine" school swing (or so that past teacher said) to the more modern swing theory. Complete re-work of using of the ground, more leg structure, more focus on hips and removing control of the swing from the hands. Swing changes are finally taking hold, its time to get new custom fit clubs ( I am 6'6") to go along with this completely change swing and swing path. I can think of no better company to go with than Callaway to begin a new chapter in my golf game with a the new swing.

2017 Goals: to consistently shoot in the 70's

Why you'd like a fitting at Callaway golf:

They have some of the most innovative and interesting products presently available

To get fit at a facility such as this is an incredible opportunity not available to me unless through an offer such as this

    • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: Currently, my iron play is holding me back, according to Arccos, so a full-bag fitting would be the missing piece of the puzzle. I've always purchased used irons that I find for a good price, so getting to pick and get fitted for what is right for me, without regard to cost, would be immeasurable. Also, just the knowledge gained from the Callaway and GolfWRX staff would be possibly the most valuable. I am a gearhead, as most WRXers are, and I would love to see Callaway's processes for R&D and manufacturing. Thank you in advance for making this available, and for the consideration.

Current USGA Handicap Index: 9.9

Goals for 2017: Improve index to 7.0. Increase GIR from 5 to 7. Increase average birdies per round from 1.0 to 1.5.

Why I would love to attend: Visiting the Callaway Golf facility in Carlsbad would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I am currently gaming a set of Callaway XR Pro irons and Callaway XR hybrids, so I am definitely a big fan of the company. Finally, spending 3 December days in southern California while winter rages back home in Ontario, Canada would be an absolute dream scenario.

APPLY BELOW TODAY!

*CURRENT HANDICAP: 6

*2017 GOALS: to become more consistent, and continue to work on controlling the balll more through trajectory, and spin, and hopefully have those "bad shots" become less punishing, and hopefully get that 69 or better. I'm 35, started playing when I was 5, but have never been fit before, and never used a LM. I think with a real fitting that could help me achieve my goals of becoming more consistent and better all around golfer.

WHY DO I WANT TO ATTEND?: It's been a long time since Callaway has been in my bag (when Biggest Big Bertha was released, that was the last time Cally had been in my bag). There's been quite a few models of irons, and woods that have sparked my interest but unfortunately the golf shop in town never stocked those models so I've missed out on them (live in a small town, also no Trackman anywhere near here as well, but it's cool place to live). Plus again to finally be fit for works best for my game and what I'm trying to accomplish, and seeing these results, that may be something totally different than what I thought I may need, or thought I needed excites me. I'd go into with an open mind, and let the professional fitters do their thing m to help me play my best. I really think the gains from never being truly, and never hitting balls on a LM could be completely game changing.

Plus add the fact of seeing the headquarters and the behind the scenes operations and new prototypes would be awesome experience. I love reading about the tech of side clubs, but seeing it hearing about first hand sounds awesome!

Thanks Callaway and GolfWRX for the opportunity!!

I've never been fit by anyone. With a driver club head speed of 120-125 I don't think a lot of the locals have the experience to fit someone like me or have equipment I might need to try.

So if I'm to get new equipment, why not get fit by the guys that know it best.

Currently a 6.9 index

Goals for next year are to place in more events at my club this year. I'm in no mans land handicap-wise because it's too high to win gross events, and too low to be a factor in net events. And I don't want to sandbag, so that means I want to take that next step. To be a factor, I really need to get down to a 3 or 4.

As to why I want to go, I know that Callaway has really stepped their game up equipment-wise, but I have never been professionally fit for any of it (don't have nearby access in my area to good fitters, at least not closer than 2 hrs away). I think with better fit equipment, I might be able to shave those couple strokes I need to better compete. In full transparency, I've been a TM homer (with some Ping mixed in), and I've had some good success but I've definitely plateaued. I need to take that next step, and I'm hoping Callaway can help me with that! Thanks for the consideration.

Goals- just be more consistant off the tee and with distance control. Would like to be able to break 70.

I would love to attend this event as I've never been fitted before. I love Callaway products and I think my game would greatly improve with clubs that match my swing. I try and mix and match myself but having a trained person with all their experience would make golf a lot more enjoyable for me.

State the goals for your golf game in 2017-- More consistency with the irons and to gain 10 yards off the tee.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf - Never have been fit for a whole bag and it would be nice to see if that could make a difference in the game. Would also like to see all the new technology that Callaway is coming out with. And a trip to California in December sounds fantastic!!

Goals:

My main golf goal is to score better in 2017. I would like to break into the par or better range more often!

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

First I would really like to see what Callaway has to offer. I've always been interested in Callaway clubs but never have been fit into any of their clubs.

I haven't had the opportunity to be fit for wedges or a putter yet and I think that would be a huge opportunity for improving my scoring.

I have heard a lot of good things in regards to Callaway clubs and think this trip would be a cool way to break into the Callaway side of golf equipment. I have always leaned towards the Taylormade side of the aisle and would be more than willing to be swayed to the Callaway side IF the clubs do the talking! I'm all about performance first and for moremost, what ever is on the bottom of the club don't matter. Plus, I would get to hang out with the WRX boys!

Goals:

After returning from deployment I want to work on my game and optimize my scoring! My ultimate goal after I retire from 22 years of active duty service is to make the Senior PGA Tour! My kids will be older and I will have the opportunity to put the time and effort into producing a more consistent swing. A better goal is to give my son my set so he can get ready for high school golf!

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

Make sure that my equipment is optimized for my swing. I Would love to replace the set that I was fitted for in the past when they were taken. Being right down the road would allow me great acces to Callaway and since TAYLORMADE screwed me I have been welcomed to the Callaway family. See signature...would love to add to my DRIVER and FAIRWAY woods.

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017 - consistently break 90 and average below 85, become a better lag putter on fast greens.
  • I want to be fit by Callaway because they are a leader in golf technology. I respect their founder Ely Callaway and what he has done personally and professionally for the golf industry. It would be a pleasure to get professionally fit and have a real fitting that included the entire bag plus putter. I would like to see my trackman numbers and a video analysis of my swing. I love playing the Chrome+ and Chrome soft golf balls. I hope to be a finalist in the event at Carlsbad.

Currently a 7 handicap.

My goal for next year is to have consistent iron play. I want to be able to easily shoot in the 70s on a course I am playing for the first time. Iron play has to be better for that to happen, I don't put myself in trouble off the tee (I am not very long 260-270), and can putt and chip pretty well. I don't hit many GIRs though.

I would love to attend this event because, Callaway is the only brand I can actually see myself playing Driver to putter/ball. I feel that Callaway and Cobra are the only companies truly innovating at a price normal people can afford and would be stoked to see what they have in store for the future. I have Callaway irons, wedges, and putters (MXM #9 and PT82). The best purchase I have ever made for my game is the MD PM wedges. Thanks for the opportunity and whoever gets to go will have an absolute blast.

Goals for 2017: Shoot even par or better for my first time. Closest I've been is 74 on a par 72 course (twice)

Why would I be a good fit for a trip to Callaway: I've never been fitted for a single club. I've always played my clubs either as a hand-me-down from my dad or right off the rack. I think it would be awesome to get fit from the experts from a great company in Callaway and see how it could benefit my game. Another plus is my sister lives in Carlsbad too so I could go say hi to her and my niece and nephew.

Current USGA Handicap: Awaiting reinstatement

State the goals for your golf game in 2017: I should regain my amateur status in late 2017. I quit playing professionally in November of 2015 and haven't played basically any golf since then (a 2.5 year old and 1.5 year old will do that!). My goal is to start working on a plan to get my game in shape for the big amateur events in 2018 with the major focus being the 2018 US Mid Am at Charlotte Country Club. I live in Charlotte and would dearly love to win the event and beat some of my old professional friends to The Masters!

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: I played professionally for 8 years and never had the opportunity to go through a full bag fitting at one of the major OEMs. I'd love to really have the full experience and have clubs that I have no doubt are a true fit for me. I've been drooling over Callaway's new offerings for the last couple years and it seems like a really innovative and positive culture has been fostered there. Everyone I knew that was on staff with Callaway raved about the way they were treated. I remember distinctly my buddy Matt Hendrix telling me how hard they worked to get him a ball that performed just right. I think Matt had partial Web status at the time, at the most. That kind of stuff really sticks out to me and I'd relish the opportunity to see it from the inside. It would also be a return home of sorts for me. I lived in Orange County from 1996 to 2002 and I still have vivid memories of the stunning wildflowers flanking the interstate as you approach Carlsbad. If chosen, I will take anyone involved with the experience out to lunch or dinner (or both, I love it so) at In N Out Burger. That place is my spiritual center! :smilie_cally:

Goals for your golf game in 2017- break 70 for the first time. I've shot 70 about 10 times but never a 69. Qualify for a major amateur tournament- missed the porter cup by 5 this year.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf- I feel a full bag fitting with Callaway would help take my game to a new level, and help me stay loyal to one brand as I have a wide variety in my current bag. Was fit for irons last year and it changed my game. Can't imagine the difference a whole bag fitting would make. Also have never been west of Chicago.

Goals:

I want to reduce my USGA Index to 1.0 - And I want to shoot at least one round under par.

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

It would be incredible to experience a fitting at the highest level. To see how the best players in the world hone their game and their craft with the assistance of experts in the industry. Of course it would be so sick to test and see the equipment that I would otherwise only be able to see by browsing the photos on our very own Golf WRX forums!

Goals: More consistent shots. To Break 80

Reason to be Fit at Callaway: I didn't start playing golf until age 36. At 54, I'm steadily reducing my handicap each year. Mostly self taught, Callaway products have been in the bag the entire time. They just fit my swing. It would be great to be professionally fitted and give myself the most technological advantage to keep playing the game.

USGA Index - 4.0

2017 Goals - 1) Qualify and make the cut in the State Mid Am. I've played in it several times but never made the cut.

2) Defeat my overdraw. The miss is still when the face gets shut to the path and I want to get that out of the swing consistently. 3) Raise my GIR numbers to more like 10-11 a round consistently, which is the key to improving for me. Iron play is the weakest part of my game.

Why Callaway? I'm not a typical Golfwrxer that hits it 200 yards with a six iron. You're looking at roughly 80 mph swing speed on my typical six iron...carry out to 160 or so. I have a low handicap but it's short-game derived. At 38 I need all the help I can get. I'd love to try and boost distance, especially in the irons, without giving up consistency. When I play in state am events it's not unusual for me to be a club shorter at least than others in the group. I'm intrigued by the Apex CF's, but after just getting married and starting a new business things are tight.

Anywho, that's my story! Sign me up!

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf:

I have spent the last 12 years working as a club fitter for TaylorMade, individuals that I have highly respected and held in high regard since I was with TaylorMade have most recently found themselves within the Callaway regime both in r&d and management. I know these individuals well enough to know that they didn't solely leave because of a paycheck but rather the direction Callaway is going and want to discover and experience it for myself. There is no doubt that Callaway has always made a great product but being a loyal ambassador to TaylorMade has never led me down the path of trying it out for myself, till now. Thanks for the opportunity.

Goals for my golf game in 2017

-Practice 2-3 times a week

-Qualify for and place in the top 5 in the City Am

-Qualify for the state mid-am

-Win My Club Championship

-Play consistent golf the entire year

Why would I like to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf?

I would love the opportunity to attend this event for a few reasons. I would love to see the new innovations that Callaway will be bringing to the marketplace in the year to come, as well as the opportunity to really fine tune my equipment so that I will be able to achieve my golfing goals for 2017. I play golf with a lot of guys on a weekly basis and the most common thing that they do is look at what is in your bag. If Callaway has the best product on the market and I can improve my game with them, others will begin to see that and it will help to grow their brand more. It takes hard work and dedication to obtain your golf goals, and by being selected to be fit by the #1 brand in golf, I can become the #1 golfer that I want to be.

Thanks for the opportunity to even be considered for an amazing trip such as this!

Let me first start by thanking Callaway Golf and GolfWRX for putting this epic event together! I'd love nothing more to spend a few days in Carlsbad learning from one of the top golf companies in the world in the middle of winter.

USGA Handicap:

Professional. Score averages a couple under par. Like everyone can have swings +/- 5 or 6 shots depending on the course conditions and weather.

State the goals for your golf game in 2017:

Like everyone I want to play more consistent and better than the previous day, month, and year. My number one goal for next year is to qualify for the US Open at Erin Hills. Throughout 2017 I'd love play in mini tour events ranging from state / city opens and pro-am's as well as a few Monday qualifiers. I'll be wrapping up the fall chasing my dream of playing on the Web.com tour by competing in the three stages of Q-School.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf:

As a fledgling playing professional this would be an amazing opportunity to meet with and pick some of the best minds golf research and equipment design / development! I'll be honest; I've never have more than the FT Tour driver and JAWS wedges in my bag at one time let alone a full set of Callaway equipment. With the more I see of my friend's new Big Bertha driver and APEX irons I'm really liking what I see.

Knowing that we're receiving a thorough checkup and fitting from Callaway will really help eliminate any doubt as to whether or not the equipment is a source of concern in our games allowing us to focus our attention on other aspects of the game. Of course having Callaway equip a full bag will help all of us put a few extra thousand dollars in the bank...every penny helps. These additional funds would be applied to all the those additional expenses from travel and lodging to health, fitness, and chiropractic visits after driving a car for 12+ hours from city to city. All these expenses can rack up quickly....and let's not forget all those psychiatric appointments every golfer should be partaking while playing this great game!

If I were lucky enough to be chosen; I'll happily endorse the great golf company that is Callaway Golf and spectacular golf community that is GolfWRX along my journey to chasing my dream, the dream that is professional golf. Thanks again to your two teams for coming together and helping out 8 very lucky golfers!

Best wishes!

-Parker
