GOALS:

1. Tie or set a new personal best (73... 9 years ago...)

2. Have fun, always. No bad attitude during bad rounds.

3. Play at least 5 rounds with my dad

4. Get one non-golfer friend into golf

WHY I WANT TO BE SELECTED:

Because it sounds incredible. Because it would be the experience of a lifetime. Because I've never done anything like that before. Because I mostly play older clubs and feel like an upgrade might really help me.

Thanks for the opportunity! Hope I win!

Goals: qualify in some scga mid am qualifiers. Improve mental toughness and sharpen short game.

I would love to attend the Epic event at callaway so I could finally be fitted correctly by the most respected company in the industry. I've been through so many iron/shaft combos over the last couple years and have never been able to truly love what I game because my self fitting is not that great. It would be a dream to be able to finally get fit and know exactly what I should be playing.

Good luck to all entrants!

GOALS:

I would like to get more consistent. My handicap used to be 2, but the last couple of years I find myself playing less consistent

WHY I WANT TO BE SELECTED:

I have never been professionally fitted. I think that would eliminate the thought that maybe I have the wrong equipment every time I have a bad game and force me to look at my swing and eliminate that thought. Plus what an opportunity. Callaway has raised their game in the last few years with some really nice industry leading technology and I would like to play their equipment but just haven't had the $$ to do so. The new Steelhead irons look incredible. I would love to game them!

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017

I would like to more consistent in both my approach shots with my irons and with my chipping and pitching. I would like to break 80 again next year more than once.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

I work regularly with an instructor and practice at an outdoor range. My golf is as good, at age 64, as it has ever been, but with more work, continued efforts to improve my technique and conditioning, I know it can improve a bit over the next few years. I also have tried enough new equipment to know that with an advanced fitting, my results would be better (though clearly my work on my swing is the primary determinant of my success). I play with Callaway woods and irons now, as well as a few clubs from other OEMs. But the fittings I've had have not been detailed, consistent, or particularly broad in terms of the clubs I tried. I believe a fitting at Callaway would ensure that I not only have excellent equipment, but that I also have excellent equipment that is appropriate to my game.

Goals:

To become more consistent. Very good ball striker with irons and drive it reasonably long with pretty good accuracy, but would love to maximize my numbers. Putting is also very inconsistent. Would love to find a club between 3 wood and 4 iron that I can hit consistently.

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

I would love to be professionally fit for every club in my bag. Callaway makes such a wide array of clubs that I'm certain that I will find what performs perfectly for me. As an aspiring pro, this would be a huge step on getting my career started as this is an opportunity that I would otherwise not be able to afford. I started when I was 2 years old when my grandfather cut down a big Bertha pitching wedge, so I love callaway clubs.

Thank you callaway and golfwrx for the opportunity!

My current USGA index is 22.

As a senior golfer, my goals for 2017 is to signifantly improve my iron play with my Callaway XR irons. I believe with proper adjustment of

my lofts and lies that my accurancy could be greatly imporoved. I also hope to improve my short game from 50 yds in to the green. As a

senior golfer I have lost distance so my scoring opportunities are optimized if I become more proficient in this area.

Being selected for the Callaway Golf experience would allow me to fully optimize my Callaway equipment. I am greatly interested in

also upgrading my driver, Razr Fit Extreme, to more current technology.

I would also enable me to bring this new technology to my fellow golfers at my golf course in order to show them how Callaway products can

increase their enjoyment of the great game of golf.

WHY I WANT TO BE SELECTED:

Actually I'm afraid my head would explode if I was selected and I might be so nervous I would blow it! BUT, you don't have to fly me!! I'll drive haha. I'm already a HUGE Cally fan boy and would love to get dialed with all Callaway from the masters! I'm sure I could be a great spokesperson for your products! Heck, I already do that! Need to get the driver though and as a retired school teacher affordability is a issue for me.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf:

I have worked with instructors and on my own and have made improvements but need more help.

Right now I feel uncomfortable golfing with other people so I don't play as much as I need to improve.

The equipment I am using is several years old and I know there have been many improvements since so maybe new equipment and some professional guidance can help me meet my goals.

2017 GOALS: Consistently break 70. Play in more tournaments.

Why: the ability to be custom fit by a major manufacturer to ensure the clubs are right for me. With golf being one of the most expensive sports you need to ensure the gear you play is right for you. During the past 23 years of my military career I have played golf in some amazing places but have never had the opportunity to get properly fit. Being selected would be one of the highlights of my time in golf.

My Name is Ryan,

My Handicap is around 5, I haven't had an official one in a few years but my average score is around 77 on a par 72 6700+ yard golf course.

My golf goals for 2017 are to get back to being a scratch ( or very close to ) golfer. Like many people I spent all of my time as a younger person on the golf course. And then like so many, real life hit and my golf game as I knew it slowly drifted away. At first I attributed it to just a bad day and then slowly those bad days happened more often. My goal is to make those bad day happen way less often again and get back to truly enjoying my time in the course, and playing better golf.

My reason for waiting to attend this exclusive event is because I am someone who is always looking for an opportunity to learn from the best. Callaway is a leader in technology and fitting and I would love to be able to learn as much as I can from the whole team. I have always had a deep respect for what Callaway golf stands for and the products that they make to help golfers of all skill levels play better. To be able to work with the same team that fits all of the Callaway Stafff professional, designs ground breaking products and makes those awesome wedges ( Anthony Taranto I'm talking to you :good:) would be a dream come true and an opportunity I certainly wouldn't take for granted.

Thank you Callaway Golf & GolfWRX for the opportunity.

Looking to get my handicap under 2 to try and compete in the next US Open qualifying event. Also looking to compete in the state open championship and the state amateur championship.

I have always played Callaway equipment and have loved their products through the years. I have used them as a measure of excellence and would love to tour the callaway research and development plant. I have never been professionally fit as I have been the one who usually does the fittings. I have tinkered with my clubs but have never had anyone tell me what would be best for my game from someone else's perspective. This opportunity would open doors to enable me to achieve my goals next year and continue my life long dream of playing in a US Open as an amateur.

Thank you for considering me! This is an awesome giveaway!

Handicap: 5.7

2017 goals: tighten up my proximity to the hole from 120 yards and in. Focus more on short game. Green side chips/pitches. Consistent putting routine. Playing to the proper side of the hole. Learn aimpoint.

Why I want to be fitted: I think the Apex CF16 blacks are some of the best looking irons I have ever seen. I love odyssey tour issue putters and would do just about anything to have a custom shop putter designed and made for me. I will never sell my 330 mallet proto which has been my gamer for 3 years (see avatar).

Oh, and custom wedges from anthony would be amazing!

Goals:

Bring more consistency to my game in 2017, more scores under 90, and improve my golf game from outside of 130 yards.

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

I've been a fan of the products Callaway produces, but haven't bagged any of their clubs since my first driver which was an old Big Bertha WarBird Driver. I currently have an all Nike bag & now that Nike is out of the equipment game, I'd love the opportunity to see how my current bag would compare to a new set fitted by the folks at Callaway. I've also never had a proper fitting, I've always had it done at GolfGalaxy or Dick's and would love to experience a true professional club fitting session. ... Also I would love to meet some of my fellow GolfWRXrs in person!

2017 Goals:

After playing mini tours throughout my 20's, I have gotten my Amateur status back and will like to get my game back to the point where I can contend in Amateur events. Biggest 2017 goals are to qualify for the US Amateur and/or US Mid Am.

Why do I want to go and be fit?

After being out of competitive golf for 5-6 years, I would love the opportunity to get my equipment up to the standards of where it used to be. With 115+ mph club head speed, club and ball fitting are extremely difficult to do at the average club fitter and very important for me to get my game where it needs to be. I find that Callaway has become the clear leader in the industry from top to bottom. They have done so through commitment to the industry an have not wavered in the direction they are heading, create the best golf equipment possible!

While I'm probably not eligible bc I'm Canadian, what the hell! Can't take the chance!

Current USGA handicap: 6.2, though of course Golf Canada not USGA

State the goals for your golf game in 2017: The easiest to state is to break par for my first time. I've shot 74 multiple times but that's my best on my home 6700 yard course. My wider goals to try and achieve that is to gain consistency. My putting vastly improved this year but I've had more trouble than in previous years with consistency. My game inside 100 meters is good enough to become scratch, but my driving and iron game leave a lot to be desired most days.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

Part of my problem with my game is that all of my equipment is a mishmash of demo/used clubs and none of it has been fit besides my irons for lie angle. Going to the best place to be fit for some of the best equipment in the world would help me immensely. As well, from a personal perspective, I have never been lucky enough to have such an amazing experience. Just recently has my career gotten started in earnest(8th year as supply teacher and finally starting to get more work), and while in the future I will probably have plenty of time and money for lifetime golf experiences, Saving up to play Glen Abbey this past summer is all I've had so far! Going to SD for a world class fitting and round of golf would be the highlight of my decade.

Have fun to whomever is lucky enough to win such an incredible experience!!!

Currently my handicap is at a 15.8 but it is dropping.

My main goal for the upcoming season is to continue dropping my handicap into the single digits.

I hope to do this by improving my driving accuracy as this is where majority of my strokes are lost.

I am also looking to find the right putter for my stroke as I am constantly changing as of now and would love to have the confidence in my putter.

I would love the opportunity to join GolfWRX at callaway HQ because I have never been able to afford a fitting and fee like it is an important aspect of improving into the player I know I can be. Living in San Diego I have seen the various golf company hqs many times and have always been enthralled with the idea of getting to visit and experience what its like to be a tour pro and have your equipment designed and fit for you by the best. Its awesome that you guys are doing this, good luck to everybody!

Current USGA handicap (or average 18 holes score)

On paper 7.2, in reality (haven't played consistently in a while) more like a 15-18

State the goals for your golf game in 2017

  • Stop the constant equipment changes in hopes of scoring better, which have actually hurt my game more than they helped (WRX disease)
  • Consistently shoot in the 70s without too many mishaps

Whoa, what an opportunity! Thanks you guys.

- I don't carry an official handicap, but regularly shoot in the mid-high 70s. I suppose that'd have me somewhere around a 9 if I did.

- Next year's goals are to hit the driver more consistently, but far more importantly to tighten up my proximity to the pin when hitting GIR. You can't make birdies from 30 feet very often...

- I'd love to be a part of this for a crazy variety of reasons, least of which is that I feel like I'd document the trip really well. As a professional videographer and hobby photographer, I'd love the chance to document the event alongside seven other WRX'ers. The chance to be custom fitted wouldn't be half bad, either...especially seeing what Callaway has to offer at their HQ.

I don't expect to be picked, but I look forward to hearing all about it from whomever is! Good luck, everyone.
