  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017: My biggest goal for 2017 is to play more golf! My wife and I had our first child this year and, therefore (rightfully so), I have not been able to play as much golf as in previous years. We've also been renovating our home for the last year and time on the weekends to work is valuable. As for specific golf goals, I hope to continue to build on the progress I've made in the last year. I broke par for the first time this year and have been playing better, more consistent golf lately.
  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: This sounds like an awesome opportunity to visit beautiful Carlsbad California, tour Callaway Golf, test Callaway products, receive some new equipment, and play a round of golf in good company! I'm a golf junkie (nerd) and absolutely love tinkering with equipment. Being able to test and provide feedback on new Callaway products would be great. I've also never been custom fit by a professional. I rely on my own equipment knowledge to fit myself into new products and would be curious to know how well I have fit myself. Callaway produces great products and a custom fit set of clubs would easily become my gamers! Lastly, after a busy 2015-2016 for my wife and I, is there a better way to vacation than a golf trip to California?

Current USGA Handicap: 6.8 (down from 9.8 earlier this year)

Goals for 2017:

  • Improve my driver play - pretty straight, but lack of distance puts me at a disadvantage
  • Improve iron play - better proximity to the pins
  • Improve lag putting - need more tap-in instead of knee knockers
  • Win my flight at the Golf Channel Am Tour nationals (finished runner-up this year)
  • Repeat as my club's Match Play champion
  • Attempt to Monday Qualify for Shell Houston Open (Long Term Stretch Goal)

Why I would like to Attend this event

I would love the opportunity to be fit by someone who is an expert. I am a high spin player and have yet to find what i need in a driver fitting. The big box stores usually don't have the right shafts/resources required to do proper fittings. I would also love to see the factory and see the new upcoming equipment. I also think the full bag fitting would be a huge jump start on achieving my 2017 golf goals.

Current USGA Handicap-Currently playing at a 7.0

Goals for 2017- First I would like play more and get more practice in around the work schedule. I would like to also play in more tournaments and try to get the handicap lower of course.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf- This would be one of those once in a lifetime experiences; it would be amazing to participate in. The performance center looks incredible; I would love to get to visit and go through the custom fitting process and really find out what Callaway is all about, also to be able to see the R&D and some prototypes would be awesome. I used to play Callaway a few years back, but have not tried any of the clubs recently. I would love to find something to pull me away from my Taylormade gear. Plus it would be really nice to get out of the cold midwest for a few days.

Average 18 hole score: 92

Goals in 2017: Consistently score in the 80's. With an arm injury late in the year in 2016, I haven't been able to golf for the past 2 months. Hoping to get back into some practice, but really want to shave a few strokes off my game!

Why I want to attend this trip: I would really like to dial in my equipment. I have always had kind of a hodge-podge of used clubs in the bag. A full fitted set would be amazing! Not to mention just seeing the Callaway facilities, talk about a dream come true!

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017 - Improve my ballstriking, especially off the tee. I struggled so much off the tee and it really hindered my game in 2016. This used to be a strength of my game and it has put too much stress on the rest of my game.
  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf - I would love this fitting opportunity because I've never been able to find the perfect driver setup for my ball flight. I hit my driver so high and I cannot find the right setup to optimize my launch angle and spin. I'd also love to test out the hottest irons in golf right now. I also need help getting my iron shafts dialed in as recent experiments have not produced the results that I would have liked

Thanks so much for an incredible contest!

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017 - To improve my iron play and stop losing 5 strokes a round by hitting the ball fat.
  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf - What an opportunity indeed! To have the confidence in your clubs that you are getting fit the same way as the pros do would be a real game-changer for me. I would know I could trust in the clubs and just concentrate on hitting the ball as well as I can.
  • Thank you!!!

State the goals for your golf game in 2017

My goals for 2017 is to reduce my handicap to single digits or low double digits. Areas for improvement are off the tee with my driver, approach shots and putting. These are my current weak areas in my game.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

I'd like to attend this event because I've always been a fan of Callaway Clubs and have gamed their clubs from Drivers down to their Odyssey Putters. I think as a mid to high handicap player that I would greatly benefit from having a custom fitting and clubs that would really suit my game. Up until now, I have only played off the rack clubs. I also think it would be pretty cool to tour a golf facility and to see some new equipment.

GHIN Index of 10.6 (My lowest it has ever been)

One of my goals next year is what it has been the last few, to finally break 80. Another goal is to keep lowering my index which I have been able to do every year since it topped out around 21.

I've been fitted once and was put into razr x-tours in that fitting. I am now playing AP2's but have always played Callaway woods. I have a razr fit xtreme and x hot 3 wood and hybrid. I would love to upgrade to newer technology that fits my swing.

State the goals for your golf game in 2017

I was acutally once about a +2, but other commitments haven't allowed me the time to stay sharp. My goal is to become consistent again and regularly shooting par or below through re-dedication to practice.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

Despite my low handicap, I have never truly been through a fully exclusive fitting for golf clubs through the bag. As a government employee, I simply have never had the financial resources to justify the cost of a full exclusive fitting, and the cost of the custom built clubs, custom shafts, etc. I play great aftermarket/upcharge stuff, but it has always been through trial and error really.

I have played Callaway clubs almost exclusively since 2005, and I love their drivers, RAZR MB irons, and wedges. I also game an Odyssey putter, so I guess I can be considered a loyal patron. That may hurt me here, because Callaway already has me as a customer, so I guess I hope to be truly and properly fit for brand of clubs I have been using the last 10 years, and continue to use for decades beyond.

My current USGA index is a 6

Goals for 2017: I want to be able to hit my irons more consistently. More GIRs.

I would love to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit because frankly, I've never been custom fit for clubs. To have an opportunity to be fitted at arguably the most respected golf manufacturer in the entire industry would be a dream come true! I've been playing golf since I was 13 yo and I'm only on my 2nd set of irons. I feel in order to reach my goals of hitting more greens in regulation, I need to get the proper equipment that is suited to me. Thank you for the chance.

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017 - I want to finally break par. I've come close a bunch of times but always end up a stroke or two away. I didn't play as much in 2016 as I would have like. I'm making it a priority to get in more rounds in 2017.
  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf - December in California is a lot better than Connecticut. I love San Diego (and Hodad's burgers), so getting out on a course with a newly made bag of custom fit Callaway clubs would be a fantastic. Also if there was a few Oakmont (Steelers-inspired) headcovers floating around I would not be opposed to taking them.

Current handicap: 10.8, although probably not playing to it right now.

2017 goals - 1) play more golf; 2) lower my handicap by 2 strokes

Why I want to attend: I want to make sure my equipment is still fit for my current game. It has been over five years since my last fitting. I want to make sure my game is in top shape for a end of 2017 trip to play Bandon Dunes for a 40th birthday outing. I think getting fit will help me achieve my 2017 goals.

USGA index:

9.0

Goals:

I want to be a consistent 70's golfer. Right now I only break 80 2-3 times a year. I have good ball striking but am errant off the tee and short game is suspect..

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

I have been using the same irons for about 6 years and was never actually professionally fit for them previously. I am 6'4" and have a very upright swing, so I am sure that my irons need to be fit properly. Also, it would be very interesting to see what Callaway's professionals would choose for me. Being that they can pick from a very wide portfolio of club types within the Callaway brand.

I love team competition golf and this will allow me to widen my golf network. Also I look forward to opening up Callway's inner workings to all of the WRX's out there!!

I would love the opportunity to be fit at Callaway as I'm a fan of their brand and clubs. I used to game the Apex Pro irons which I loved the feel, but didn't have the strike consistency and distance I was looking for so I switch clubs. I would not be surprised it was due to not being properly fit and would have a genuine interest in switching back if I could achieve the same or better performance of my current clubs. Plus, it would be an awesome experience!!

Thanks!

Handicap: I am currently a +1.8

Goals: I have some lofty goals for 2017. My main goal is qualifying for the U.S. Amateur this year. To achieve this goal i will also need to achieve my other goals. I want to average less than 30 putts a round, i want to improve my proximity to the hole with my wedges, i want to improve my bunker play, and i want to improve my short pitch shots around the green. I also want to break 66 for the first time.

Why: I want to attend this event because i love golf, and i think this could be an opportunity to take my game to the next level with the right tools. If i was able to go i would be like a kid in a candy store, and i would remember this once in a lifetime opportunity for the rest of my life. I finished my college career in a poor fashion, but this partially due to injury, but my clubs were stolen from my car a couple days before my final golf tournament. I have gotten close to qualifying for the U.S. Amateur in the past, but a set of custom fit clubs would help me break through.

Goals:

Hands down I want to break 70. I want to start playing in amateur events around the state and play competitively in them. I would like to have a more consistent ball striking game also.

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

I want to be fit at Callaway because i have always like their golf clubs and designs. I also want to guarantee that my equipment is properly fitted to my golf swing and that it is working at maximum efficiency.

  • Current USGA handicap -18.4

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017- By the end of the year have my handicap down to a solid 10, so that I can at least attempt the PAT without it being a joke, as I have a goal of entering the PGA Apprentice Program at an advanced age 58.

  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf- I made a career change 1 year ago at this time, into the field of Golf. While I am in the role of sales, I have decided that not today and not tomorrow, but in the next couple years, i want to earn membership into the PGA. I have reviewed all the requirements for doing so and the biggest challenge will be to get my game to where I can pass the PAT. But I began the year as 26 index and improved to the current 18.4 by just playing more and taking one lesson. 2017 will bring dedicated work with an instructor and more time on the range.

  • I feel going into the year being custom fit for 14 clubs will give put me in the best position to achieve this goal. And nothing would make me happier when I reach it to have my name on a Callaway Staff Bag.

The only things you can't accomplish are the things you don't set out to do.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Handicap Index : +1.7

2017 Golf Goals: I played at a lower level D1 golf program in college, but school and internships always came first, so I feel like I've never been able to fully reach my golf potential. Recently, I started a job with a much more flexible schedule, allowing me to play and practice much more frequently. I believe that if I carry this into next year, I could play at a very high level of amateur golf and compete with some of the best in the state/country in various Carolinas and USGA amateur events.

Why I would want to be a part of this exclusive fitting: I am a big equipment junkie and fully realize the value added to one's golf game with the proper equipment. But more importantly, I am hoping to pursue a career that combines my degree (Mechanical Engineering) with my passion of golf. I think a trip to Callaway with R&D workshops and talks with some of the greatest minds in golf equipment development would be an excellent experience for my future pursuits and to network with the people I would be lucky enough to meet and interact with.

Thanks so much for your consideration. This is an amazing opportunity for whoever is selected!

State the goals for your golf game in 2017: Where to start......I would love to break into the 80's consistently , I've been close but just missed out a few times here and there. Would love to be able to deliver a consistent ball strike more often and shave some strokes off by playing a smarter cleaner game than I have been. Would love to develop better habits that stick long term since up here in Alaska golf is very seasonal, it's very easy to forget what you are doing correctly and fall back into bad habits. Would love to get my handicap into the single digits and improve my distance off the tee

I honestly still have times where I get nervous when others that I don't know watch me golf. Would love to have the confidence to go up there with any number of strangers watching and rip a good shot everytime.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: I've never actually had a set of fitted clubs made for me, I usually play stock (which may be part of my problem) but I love the Callaway products. I've been playing for about 2 years now and have since migrated almost every club I have to a Callaway. It's easily the best choice I have ever made as it did help my game, even with my flaws. In Alaska we don't get many opportunities to meet with the big companies, we don't have a lot of places to get fit or even buy equipment. I think this opportunity would be an awesome way to get introduced to what people in the Lower 48 always have at their disposal. I figure if you're gonna learn it, it may as well be from one of the best companies out there. My brother and I love to go out and play a round together, so this would be a great opportunity to share the knowledge someone like Callaway has to offer someone like me, not just the low score golfers
